Reservation to Order Conversion Rate? Dealer input?

I talked to a larger dealer today who said he was at about an 80% reservation to order rate...so higher so far than Ford’s 70% estimate. Very few cancellations, and he’s a reliable guy. I know a lot on here have opined that it would be much lower and we would basically all be getting MY21s...it seems to be the opposite. This wasn’t a discount dealer either. Any dealer insight into what conversion rates look like so far?

I think it will be high at first because most people ordering now reserved in the first few days which means they have been waiting for this for awhile it will slow down with later date reservations I think but I could be completely wrong

Originally started with 24 Reservations/12 Allocated. 3 Canceled so far, 7 have put in their Orders. 1 decided to wait until next year. All the others have been extremely difficult to contact, either by email or phone number listed. To me that doesn't make any sense. I thought most people would be excited to get their order in.

Yeah Albert said on the phone they were converting a pretty high rate. Higher than the one mentioned.

Would be surprised if this holds true overall. I have a really hard time believing 150k+ people are ordering Broncos right now. That would be an unbelievable home run for Ford.

should Be a low cancellation rate for those with early reservations. i Suspect that the cancellation rate will increase over time, especially if it is unclear as to when you will get your Bronco.

If things go as we have seen on 6G, there will be very limited dealer stock until 2023.

"Nearly everyone" was the general term I was given when I placed my order. I'd say that qualifies as 80% or better.

I do think the rate could drop a bit, but once dealers have a real-live, I-can-actually-see-it-and-maybe-drive it Bronco, people who are waiting and thinking about pulling the plug will change their minds. I'm going off of what people who had ride-alongs at KOH have said. It seems that if people are serious about buying, we're going to get rewarded with a great vehicle. So, anyone on the fence who gets to experience one in person will be converted to the religion.

I think the deposit comes into play too.......if not required, a lot may just keep the process rolling and see what happens

Even with 180,000 conversion, at 3500 per week is less than a year of builds. Who knows how this will shape up, especially Ford?

True on the number of builds...but my bet is that after MY21, reservation orders go out slowly as they fill stock orders. They backed off saying all reservations will be built before stock.

The forum conversion guesses/polls were predicated on "order a MY21, or out". Since Ford is allowing people to kick the can down the MY road, those initial guesses are less pertinent.

Many forum members said they'd wait till March to order...though I personally don't expect the menu to change a whit. Even allowing for that, I've been surprised we've only had ~1,300 orders from ~15,000 forum members.

Small sample size but my dealer is sitting at 0/3 right now. Two have confirmed they won't convert.
