Yup! Sounds like he's fighting some internal battlesnot just that but is also kind of hypocritical if that poster is buying a Bronco which has awful mpg. They should join a Prius forum.

Somehow I feel dumber for reading that.People were stuck in EVs

I'm thinking of giving the company car back when the bronco or jeep come in. They'll pay up to 600 miles per month for personal car but some months I can drive 2k miles so still deciding on what to do.I’m similarly fortunate. My company allows me to expense my gas and maintenance/repairs on my primary vehicle… which is now my Bronco. It’s a great perk. That said, my wife’s next vehicle is likely to be an EV.
damn now you guys got me researching Electric bikes! that could get expensive lol
Mine has a little more oomf (and a lot more wasted money ) than the ron, but electric + 2 wheels is the supreme fair-weather daily.
That EV1 looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. I thought they weren't available until 2023, but is that just what the backorder queue is up to now?So, I was lucky to pick up my Bronco 1st Edition at the end of October--very pleased with it.
However, I picked up my Hummer EV1 on Friday and must say that it is a special vehicle. It is a beast that drives like a Bentley with features galore. GM did a great job! According to my onboard systems, I am getting about 350 miles per charge.
Overall, both are great options with an edge to the HEV1.
Enjoy!

" Kanninen goes on to share that he didn't have to worry about wondering when he might run out of gas. Instead, he had a clear indication at all times of how much battery capacity was remaining." Car's don't have gas gauges?
" Sadly, if you're an EV owner stranded near a bunch of idling gas cars, you're also subject to those same noxious fumes, but that's beside the point here. If all the cars were EVs, that problem would cease to exist." In a Blizzard with 40-50 MPH winds?
I know a lot of folks were out there twice as long as Dan's 14 hours and he failed to say how much he had left on the battery. Inconclusive article.
Much better with real numbers. Here's a much better article that looks at how EVs perform in the cold in long stretches of "idle": https://www.insidehook.com/article/vehicles/electric-car-12-hours-freezing-cold-test
