Agreed per your question above. I’m looking forward to real qualifiable measurements & comparisons of the 2D and 4D with seats up & down.

I’m on the 4D Badlands Sasquatch train but today has me reconsidering the 2D.
I believe reading on another thread that with seats folded down the 2 door provides 4 feet of storage and the 4 door provides 6 feet of storage. The extra 2 feet would be great for me when making Home Depot runs.

Any chance anyone has an idea of total length back of front seat to tailgate on 2Dr?
My guess (from doing some measuring on the sideview from the colorizer) is roughly 48". Best guess is 45-46" wide? That would give you roughly 65-66" diagonal. Even if it's square (45"x45"), the diagonal would be 63.5"

Here's a post I made with my guess-timate...it used 22" for the depth of the cargo area which might be a bit too long (20.5" now?)

Ford Bronco Tape Measured Depth of the 2021 Bronco 2-Door Cargo / Trunk Area = 20-21 Inches 24921680-24F3-4180-ADD8-EB197F4C2C23

Found this image. Looks like the gate is not where you marked it since you can see the plastic strip Aman included in his measurement.
That pic isn't looking to good for me. At 6'1" don't think I can sleep in back. Hopefully 4 door has the extra room.

Yes that's definitely a better angle, the load floors are completely different, one having a nylon loop through carpet and the other flastic with a recessed latch. But I agree it doesn't impinge too much. WBronco Detectives, I swear! All of us! ?

The tailgate accessory was apparently way preproduction and, while looked awesome, was far from finished. The seams weren’t tight and it just didn’t look right. The rep said, before we looked at it, that the production model would be better. It’s late availability makes sense after seeing it.
Did I read correctly that the two door will not be available with the tailgate that pulls out from below? Thanks...

Correct. It’s an accessory that fits 4 door. No 2door version from Ford.

One more reason to get the 4 door. Lol

No chance that you'll be able to sleep in the back of the 2-door. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to counter that.

With rear seats folded, cargo area should increase another 20" at least. But seat backs look longer than the rear cargo floor, might have 48" or more to the back of the front seats.
The rear seat bottoms supposedly fold up against the front seats, unlike shown in this pic. Figure at least 40" of 'floor' space between tilted-up seat bottom and cargo door.
My 2001 XJ Cherokee has 34"(seats up)-56" (folded) cargo space so the Bronco has significantly less.

Wrangler 4 door latch mechanism is about 4.5" deeper than the rest of the door. I'd assume the Bronco will be similar.

Hopefully Ford is going to upgrade these pre-production rear seats, and make them easy to remove without tools and have flush mounts so the space can be used flat with the seats removed. This is a must. If they can't do it for model year 2021, they have to get it for 2022.
