What's funny is the First Edition is likely the most produced trim of 2021 since they had to build all 7500ish of them and couldn't roll them into 2022.

FEs were only ever a marketing exercise and so, no surprise to me that the stratospheric prices couldn't hold. It's only a limited-availability discount package, sort of like a grand opening sale. The only thing that made it truly unique was the ability to get Lightning Blue; everything else is just a sticker - two on the front quarters and one in the center console -- not even serialized (#x of 5000 or whatever ended up getting built). I got one because I was able to get my reservation that first July evening. After pricing out comparably-equipped badlands and wild traks, I got more 'stuff' for less money. Otherwise, I'd have been happy with wash-out interior, MGV seats, etc. Then came the roof disasters and it got even better for me, since Ford paid me to accept 'just' an MIC top -- and it apparently continues to pay for those who've held out and are being asked if they want a Braptor.

TL;DR: FOMO is a dangerous, expensive habit, and FE's aren't special enough to warrant 70-80+K pricing. Most (serious) consumers have figured that out, and auction trends will reinforce it.

This reads like a ranty FB post. I'm not even sure I understood the point trying to be made.
I agree. Not sure if it's the OP's writing style, but I was also unable to identify what the consumers are doing so "right" and why the Sas shouldn't be on all trims (from who's perspective???). kind of just sounds like a bunch of scattered thoughts about I don't know what.

not even close - they've been producing over 10k bronco's per month for months.

Not sure why you all say offer SAS on all trims was an error. For the dealers trying to siphon money from people, maybe. But ford did it based on their extensive analysis and I’m sure saw they’d make a ton more money for ford (not the dealers) if they allowed SAS on all trims.
give ford credit for a consumer friendly decision that also benefitted ford itself.
And stop giving them ideas for MY23!!!! 😂

People want to hate on the FE’s but the reality, go try and build any trim with the exact some color combo and features as a FE. It becomes apparent quickly how you’ll be missing something, from grill color/style, door handles, front sway bar disconnect, interior packages, color of various trim pieces to LB exterior color, black bead lock ring etc to name a few…….all the things that make a FE exactly what it is. Yes, you can go with another model and be perfectly happy, because not everyone needs whatever a FE has or doesn’t but it’s still the point. A FE is what it is…….and no other Bronco can be sourced as it is. 🤷‍♂️ Again, doesn’t mean it’s any better or worse then another Bronco, it’s just what it is.
The stickers and LB paint are the only things truly unique to the FE.
You can already change the beauty ring colors and mirror caps and grill (available now)(same ones on Wildtrack) and add stickers (available now) to easily and cheaply turn a badlands into an FE. Unfortunately for the FE - its just a few cosmetic details that are all interchangeable. The Wildtrak and OBX are only missing the stabilizer bar (which few will ever need/use). Ford failed to make the FE as exclusive as it should have been - let alone "first". I'm pretty sure they intended it to be the rumored "heritage edition" with white roof and other unique retro details. But Ford fell behind and the FE was reduced to a sticker package.

Uh I think your math is wrong. Without attempting to go back in and build and price a 2021 FE (which can no longer be accomplished) I recall, although my recollection can be fuzzy, that the MSRP (sticker) of a FE (and there were NO options other than color) was north of $60k, and higher than $62 if I recall correctly

My original build of my OBX was "high fiftys" with the dual top option and assorted roof items that I gave up. And that was non-SAS. I could easily have topped $60k for a non-FE
Dug up some data from 2020 and a 2 door FE MSRP + DD = $60,800 and a 4 door was $64,995.

I still say Forest had it right....Stupid is as Stupid does!! It's a truck...100Ks will be built. If you were trying to buy early and screw others, then I hope you got/get burned. Folks need to get back to the basics. This truck is an example of what is wrong with this country and where evil folks are trying to take it. Oh ya....IMO!!

Still happy with my 2dr BB SAS Mid Pkg. $43k msrp and have already had chances to sell at over $10k profit. I just can't bring myself to do it. I know I should and sign up for another higher optioned one but I just like the thing.

I wonder what the true break down of the FE's will be and would like to know the true numbers. I bought a 2dr FE LB and plan to enjoy it and was not looking to flip it and or trade it to get the raptor bronco.
