I sold my truck too early. KBB private party sale value at the upper end is now $42K. I paid $46K for it in 2016.

I heard the used car market was booming right now. Hoping the used car values stay high until I get my Bronco and can trade in the soul crushing Camry. Of course that wait for the Bronco... 2023? We'll see.

Are the usuall KBB, Edmonds etc reflecting this? Or more of a quick anomaly happening at dealerships point of sale?

I'm planning to do that too! Sell private party. I have a 2019 Ranger Lariat and I paid $36k and plan to sell for $40k. Not a bad money maker haha. Heres what my rig looks like right now

This is just pushing me to want to unload my current vehicle now. We can probably survive with just one for a while. I checked Truecar (price was so-so), and then KBB which was drastically better so I'm not sure what to believe yet, and then it's like the stock market - trying to wait for the top.

Yup. I have an '18 Civic Si coupe with about 16k miles and a lease expiring in July. Buyout is 15k. Carvana is offering 23k right now. I was considering buying and holding it until my '22 Bronco is ready, but with the way the market is, I'm strongly considering taking the 23k and doing a lease takeover for about a year and rolling the dice that my bronco will be ready by mid '22. Decisions, decisions.

Haha. Not worth leasing for sure if residual prices start high

My Bronco isn't due until '22. With my luck the market will tank when the time comes to trade. I could fall in a barrel of mammary glands, and come out sucking my thumb. :)
