Traveling with Dog(s)

Rest Stops: New Bronco owner here, planning some trips with dogs.

Is it possible to lock the Bronco with the engine running for a quick stop at a rest stop or gas station?

This was sometimes a challenge with previous vehicles.

Yes, you can lock the door with engine running. But the engine will shut down after 30 minutes of idle.

You can turn off this feature by going through the dashboard.

There may be an easier way but this is what I do. I adjust the a/c to the setting I want. Turn off my bronco and lock it. Then I use remote start on my phone , which turns the a/c back on.

I travel with a dog roughly every other weekend. It is a real PITA. But I will just bring both my keys and lock one in the car and then the doors and leave it running.

If I need to run in the store with a dog I just set to AC before I head out and then remote start as I'm walking away. You can extend the run time up to 30 minutes via the fordpass app.
