When I was learning to drive in a 90 Bronco it had 3 big ol antenna on it, the standard one, the cb antenna, and the car phone antenna. On one of my first lessons I killed a duck flying overhead with one of those bad boys, think it was the cb antenna.

I'm leaving the big boy from the factory on on the off chance I can repeat that feat.

I bought the CravenSpeed antenna on Amazon and really like it. Granted I mostly use XM radio but the FM/AM antenna works well in the DC area.

Antennas work based on length. basic physics my man, shorter antenna = worse reception.

Keeping mine as an early warning system. I’ve already had a couple close calls pulling into some parking garages - if the overhead hits the antenna a few inches too low I know to get out and check to be sure the roof will clear.

I got the Cravenspeed Stubby 50 cal because, to be quite frank, the OG Stubby looks too much like a vibrator
Cravenspeed is made in the USA and I’ve compared it to cheap imitations I’ve seen on cars at my job, and there is a noticeable difference in quality. It’s worth the extra five dollars. I took the stock antenna off within an hour of driving it because it flops/bends too much in the wind for my liking, it was distracting AF on the highway.
