I think a base badlands with the 4cyl and manual will still be appreciably different, where the wildtrack and first editions are "warthog but inferior and not much cheaper"

I just donā€™t see myself spending over $70K for a Bronco. $55K~ is hard enough to swallow as is for a mid-size vehicle and not a full-size.

Now it looks like the Raptor/Warthog is gonna be the beast of the bunch. Why not just wait and save my $$ until then???
Agreed, please cancel your reservation(s) so I can get a Bronco in 2021.

1) I highly doubt itā€™ll be available in a 2 door.
2) It will likely be $15k or more than the 2 door BL configuration Iā€™m gonna go for.

And if Iā€™m wrong, Iā€™ll trade up when itā€™s actually available.

the gen3 raptor will have 2 engine options: v8 supercharged and the Lincoln hybrid. This will justify a high output build of the 3.0 so they can use it in the raptor and raptor bronco. I doubt the bronco will get the ev part as you canā€™t have the bronco raptor making the same power as the gen3 raptor.
They could also use the same powertrain detuned if they're worried about that.

I feel like they aren't, though.

no bubble sir. If you canā€™t afford it then you canā€™t afford it. If you are in your twenties and just starting out then you should not be thinking about dropping 50k on the bronco. But donā€™t blame ford for making it too expensive.

Everyone here has been waiting for the bronco to come back and as soon as it comebacks everyone complains about the cost. Post calling out ford for making it too expensive is not fordā€™s problem. It cost billions to build a new car.

It is the climate we live in. We want everything but no one wants to pay for it. And donā€™t forget we want it now and pay for it later.

or would we rather not have the bronco at all? There are plenty of threads about how ford took too long to bring it back.

My point ... people complain about everything no matter what. And it seems every other thread is complaining about something here.

wow...good for you.

I am in the same boat, the costs don't really mean much to me, I am 58, kids grown and through college, no debt, low mortgage, good job great pension....I am grateful for it every day and I've earned it.

On the other hand, if you read the demographics of this site, there are a lot of 20-35 yr olds...just getting started, buying a home, getting married, starting a family...30-50k for a vehicle is a big deal and a hundred bucks counts.

I'm just stoked that this is a vehicle that appeals to an old fuck like me and new kids growing up. I appreciate that they are here trying to find the best deal that can fit into their lifestyles and not burning down buildings in Portland.

get out of your bubble, that was sort of a " silly poo" way to express your thoughts...

you canā€™t detune the halo car. This is why fordā€™s halo cars all have special engines but not used by other cars in the lineup.

They could also use the same powertrain detuned if they're worried about that.

I feel like they aren't, though.

Simple answer. Too damn expensive. Also I seriously doubt it will perform any better on trails. It will probably have more a little more HP and TQ but when you're going <5 MPH it won't change much.

I understand the logic but most of us have been waiting for years for the Bronco. I think most people that want a Bronco get either the Badlands or Wildtrak, if you want the best that the Bronco offers. But the Raptor will most likely be out around the 2023 model year and be much more expensive, I'd bet it'll be more than the first edition.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Warthog is 4 door only.

why wouldn't it be? The $100 deposit is refundable up until you submit your order.

BUT I suspect having a reservation deposit of $1000 would curtail peeps having 2 more reservations ... and thus a better snapshot of how many really is in inline for the Bronco.

Would that deposit be refundable?

How would knowing "how many really is inline" change your situation today?

You'd still be waiting for the B&P and the ability to convert your reservation to order. There would be no difference at all.

OEM+ it

I'd rather own what I get and replicate than start over from scratch for nearly the same thing
