If the Bronco is so Consumer Build Friendly why are there Limitations to the Build?

I think the only thing I don't like about the customizing is the availability of squatch on 4dr models. I could have sworn (could be wrong of course) when the configurator was initially available a year ago you could have gotten a Base/BB/BD 4dr squatch. Guess I'll be stuck getting a Badlands LOL.

Are you saying that you tried to use the configurator to build a Base/BB/BD 4-door sasquatch and wasn't able to? That configuration is available now and has been since the configurator opened.

I’d build a base 2d with the 4d’s gas tank and the raptor’s 3.0 and the f150’s 10r80 and the Sasquatch package and the manual and the Badlands’ disco.

You can tow 4,500 pounds if you want to. Auto Swaybar is eventually going to break, road salt and dirt will see to that. I think the trim levels are spread out effectively. A Base trim can be built into a nice off-roader if you so desire.

ya, that's what I'm sayin.

I just went back and looked again, this was something I last looked at maybe 3-4 months ago, seems to be working again now, weird. so i guess the long and short is, ignore my original complaint.

I might be crazy here but I think that the Consumer should get the The disconnecting sway bar with this ass watch package across the board base to badlands. what do you think. Base is base trim period but Big Bend & Black Diamond can be MidLevel Trimmed out. If they had all the off road options available like a Disconnecting swaybar only with the Sasquatch package. I think that a huge selling point. Just like how they made the raptor be able to tow 4500lbs. Hopefully that trickles down to the bronco.
Any thoughts?

I didn’t get the “ass watch” package. Where was that in the build and price. I totally would have paid for that option…..

IMHO it makes no sense that SAS doesn't include the sway bar disco. The premium off-road package should have the premium off-road bits.

The funny thing about this is that Ford has been telling people to order the LOWER trim on Broncos. Shows how F'd the commodity issue really is. They must have done the math and figured out they can make more profit this way.

I get what you are asking. All of our fine forum compatriots are just responding to your posts with what they think may answer why you cant burger king ('Have it your way!') the bronco. C'mon though, how can you get mad at '90s Mariah on roller blades?

Right, but the next person will have a different ask. I just want blind spot monitoring. I just want adaptive cruise. I just want washout interior. They’d sell way fewer $10k packaged upgrades if they let everyone get “just” what they want

Because it’s not a necessary off-road feature. It’s a luxury.
