try getting in, start as usual.
roll window full down
then hold the button down for like 5 seconds.
roll window up
hold button up for 5 seconds
see if auto up down and auto drop are resumed......

seems like it lost initialization somehow
This worked perfectly for my rear window. Appreciate it!

Wow, wish I had seen this earlier. I started a new thread because when I did a search, nothing turned up (obviously I didn't use the right words).

My Bronco has had this problem multiple times and has been to the dealership and they couldn't figure it out either or the problem just went away.

Going to print this out and save it in my Bronco for the next time it happens.

It’s 10 second up,down,up in acc or whatever the newest term for on but not running is. This may work in the short term. If you keep having this issue you will need your window motors replaced. Just had the 2 on the driver side replaced bc of this same issue.

It has happened 3 times on my passenger rear door, once on the passenger front door and once on the driver rear door.

I have the 7 year 100k warranty on the Bronco, if it keeps happening, I will push for motor replacement.

I believe down up down works too, it’s just the process that resets the window module.

Thanks for posting this, just had my driver's rear window quit going down when opening the door. Followed this procedure and it worked like a charm!

And for those that this doesn’t work, the dealer can reset it also. Unfortunately, that’s what I had to do when mine stopped dropping.

Apparently there is a module update that helps address this.

I need to find time to see if my dealer will do it.

TLDR: Reset and Module update doesn’t work still have issues with rear passenger window getting caught and @Ford service/quality is đŸ’©

Had issues with my 2021 Bronco rear passenger window since 2022, past 6 months the issue happens daily where I have to reset the window every morning, took it into the Huntington Beach Ford dealership earlier this month and said it was a module that needed to be updated and they said they did the update and reset which I was 99% sure was not going to fix it, sure enough it happened the next day and was told to take it to the original dealership I bought the vehicle from to get it fixed because I first had an issue back in 2022.
2 days ago I took it back to Villa Ford in Orange and told them the issue and said the reset and module update wasn’t the solution it’s a mechanical/electrical issue, First thing the service advisor said to me after I explained the issue was is that an aftermarket roof rack trying to pin the blame on the rack as the cause of the issue and not have it warrantied
which I responded it’s a @TrailRax roof rack which is supported by @Ford so that shouldn’t be the issue, then he goes on saying yeah it’s the hard top that’s the issue, well if it is then @Ford should be responsible to make a working hardtop and stand by its factory roof to not cause this issue or fix the problem lol

the tech did a reset and “module update” and said the other dealership didn’t do an update because if they did the tech at Villa Ford wouldn’t be able to do it so, Huntington Beach @Ford lied and didn’t do squat to my bronco other than do the reset which I have to do daily.

now I am wasting more time going back and forth with the dealership to get them to fix the window which at this point might just be to replace the regulator not some “software” update.

Super odd and almost annoying to hear that the dealer is blaming our rack. Sorry for not reading this whole thread and getting caught up on the situation but have you reset your windows with the method of rolling up and down and holding for some odd amount of time? We have heard 2021 Broncos having issues with the windows like this but was never related to our rack. It seemed to be an early Bronco software or computer thing. PM us and we can try to help you out further if help is needed. We have plenty of Broncos and even ourselves offroading with heavy weight on our rack and it has never affected our windows (for certain) and to be honest, we have never seen customers have issues with their windows due to our rack.

Yes early in the thread the reset procedure was explained. Regarding your rack, that was just another stupid Ford service writer trying to blame someone besides Ford for their shortcomings. The large majority of service writers unfortunately have zero mechanical sense and it sucks to have to deal with one like mentioned earlier in the thread. Imagine the frustration of the guys working under them that do actually have mechanical skill.
