What do you mean you ordered from Ford? Ford does not sell direct. It has to go through a dealer.
Fords website. I have done the whole prosses. through them and gave the deposit to the dealer. Ford has been involved the whole way through with updates on my build not the dealer. Fords website shows today my dealer price as I posted in the beginning.

So, I reserved my Bronco in August of 2021 and ordered shortly after in 2021. I had to reorder the vehicle 2 times and understood the price protection with no markup on the dealer's end. The marketing website shows today the price of the last order I signed @ my dealership prior to the build, reflecting a price increase that would be covered by the private offer from ford. I have 2 offers but told I can only use one. When I got my window sticker there was another price increase of $2000+ added to the total price of the vehicle so I contacted Ford marketing to ask why they show one price on the website and another on the sticker only to be told they have no other private offer to compensate." Your dealership has the final say". Now I must say that is a perfect case of false advertising on Fords part for selling me a vehicle online @ one price and stickering it for $2000+ more all on the same website. It is not the dealers fault Ford marked up the sticker in 2 weeks after the build was signed. So, what can I do? Eat the $2000+? Small claims court? :( I have waited a long time for this Bronco and want to buy it I just don't wish to take it in the A$$ from Foird Motor Company on the price.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

This is what my page shows today on the Ford website...

I cancelled my Bronco order for the $2,500 to buy a Bronco off the lot. My rebate is not populating correctly. I can get $2,500 off if I order a 2023 vehicle, but not to buy one off the lot. Different certificate number under the same umbrella. Ford customer service keeps telling me that I am eligible, but apparently nobody at Ford has the power to fix my certificate. So as far as buying a Bronco off the lot, I’m out.

I do have a Bronco, just not the one I wanted, but truck was dying and had to do something.

So shame on Ford for their lack of continuity and shenanigans.

Yes this is my order as it stands still live on fords website. Dealer should not have to pay more than my order price.
That is correct. The dealer has to pay the original cost to Ford, not the current costs provided it’s a customer order and not an order for stock.
That is incorrect. The dealer will have to pay the higher invoice cost based on the current window sticker. It is only after the purchase is verified by Ford will they receive a credit for the price increase. As I said before, dealers will often account for the credit at the time of sale and wait for the actual credit from Ford to balance their books. But they aren't obligated to do so. If they don't at the time of sale, they will issue a check after Ford credits them.

If the customer doesn't qualify for financing or whatever reason doesn't follow through with the purchase, the higher invoice charge to the dealer will stand as they will then sell it on the lot. Ford isn't going to charge back the difference in invoice in the event the order holder doesn't purchase the vehicle. So they charge the higher invoice up front and after verifying the sale issue the credit - up to 45 days later.

Not sure what to tell you then. So I assume this means when you converted from a 22 to a 23, you never got anything from your dealer to sign along with your providing your DL to them for COVP.

Ford is currently restricted from selling direct. When many of us reserved in 2020, we had to pick a dealer. Ford was never planning on delivering these to our homes. The dealer is Fords customer and we are the dealers customer. Something sounds fishy here to me.

I have my loan in order and big down payment to pay for the Bronco. Ford just won't give me price that states on the website. only sticker. My private offer stands at only $2845 no help with the new price hike.

Alright... 2023MY time!

If any of this is wrong please let me know ASAP. I don't want to add to the confusion.

As of today (Nov 4th, 2022) we are about a 1-2 weeks away from the beginning of 2023MY production. I want to stress that the information in this post is only valid for those taking delivery on a 2023MY Bronco, and is NOT valid for 2022MY Broncos nor will it be valid for a 2024MY Bronco.

ARE YOU TAKING DELIVERY OF A BACK 2022MY?

You're in the wrong place. Check out the 2022MY Price Protection Thread.

Unlike 2022MY, all 2023MY price protection rebates will be handled via private offer certificates in Smart VINCENT under Pgm #38644 (last year it was split between private offers and retail price protection). These private offers should be visible to the dealer when you go to pick up your vehicle. You and your dealer have two options when applying price protection:

  • Apply the price protection to the final selling price of the Bronco at the time you take delivery. In most situations this makes the most sense due to sales tax.
  • Pay the full price for your Bronco and wait for Ford to send out a check after you take delivery.
Exactly how much you qualify for depends on WHEN you ordered/reserved and WHAT you had reserved/ordered as of Sept 9th, 2022. Refer to the flow charts and price table below. Note that it does not matter what you order for 2023MY, your price protection amount will remain the same regardless of what you order for 2023MY. (The exception to this rule is if you switch your order to Raptor or end up purchasing a Heritage Limited. Both are ineligible for price protection.)

Keep in mind this is simply the protections Ford is offering to you as an order holder. However, the final selling price is ultimately between you and your dealer. Ultimately Ford cannot guarantee the final selling price of the vehicle and (generally speaking) cannot protect your from dealer markups. They can only protect you from the MSRP price increases they themselves have added through the past year or so.

Reality. The sticker means NOTHING. Before the Bronco and the supply chain issues that limited production of ALL vehicles ,dealers routinely sold cars below sticker. Thousands below.

Yes, I agree with you, but that only happens if the original person that ordered the vehicle doesn’t take delivery. Unless something has changed in the past year, it has always been that way. There is some Ford documentation on this but I’ll need to dig a bit.

I've explained this to you twice. It is a non-issue. EVERYONE buying their vehicle after 3/15 will have a higher window sticker. YOU aren't special. Ford is not picking on you.

The $2845 is your private offer found in SMARTVincent. It accounts for past price increases from previous model years.

The mid-year price increase is retail price protection. There is no certificate or rebate for it. After the sale is verified, Ford will credit the dealer with the increased price difference from the beginning of the year when the order was placed till when the order was built/delivered. That credit will either be applied at the time of sale (most dealers do it this way but they aren't obligated to do so) OR that credit will be remunerated to the buyer after the dealer receives the credit from Ford. The verifying/credit process can take up to 45 days.

I have an offer (have 2 but only use 1) from ford and it is for $2845 and the sticker price went up during my build by $2000 more than the order I signed with the dealership 2 weeks prior that reflects the online price on Fords website that I posted. Seems to me Ford is making me fight it out with the dealer for the new price.

This was from 2020 and as far as I know, the process hasn’t changed. They do (did) not re-invoice the dealer after a price change if it’s a customer order and is sold to the customer.

YES. The $2845 will be applied at sale. The difference in the MSRP from the time you ordered for MY'23 and the MSRP on the window sticker (reflecting the MY'23.5 pricing) will be a credit. AGAIN - most dealers apply it up front and wait for the credit to balance their books 45 days later. That is the preferred way so you don't have to pay the additional tax. But they aren't obligated to do so. Some will wait for the credit to hit their books before issuing a check to the buyer.

The 2845 is your private offer for having an older order. It has nothing to do with the current price increases. Those are supposed to be automatically price protected within the model year.
