So what about 18 or so usable inches not counting space lost due to this monstrosity.

Any chance anyone has an idea of total length back of front seat to tailgate on 2Dr? I know @BroncoChicken had some helpful measurements, or can any mathematicians use some trigonometry for diagonal storage with the seats down/removed? Master planning for mountain bike on rear rack, but wanted to see if skis have chance at a horizontal vs. another trailer hitch rack. Resisting the 4dr.....and contemplating lightweight off-road trailer for rooftop tent. It’s only my 60% of the time hiking day trips and I know my inflatable paddles can fit in the back. The other 40% will be overlanding with the trailer. Hmmmmm. B&P will give me a much better idea.

Seems larger than what I recall from my wifes 14 JK but I honestly can’t say for sure.

At least the Bronco 20" depth is more than the 13" depth on my TJ. I take it the seat backs recline backwards on the Bronco, and so the 20" depth measure is effectively less higher up?

I think you’re right about the the tailgate accessory set back angle. But I think it’s set back only because of the vent/latch protrusion and then having to have a straight edge based on that setback.

I think that also maybe why they’re not offering the tailgate or just a storage/floor solution for the 2 door. Tailgate wouldn’t be long enough, but if they offered the level floor accessory on the 2 door it would have a weird gap between the swing gate or a weird jog depending if they made a straight edge or not. That gap is not a big deal on the 4 door because you’re getting a tailgate and there is already more room.

I don’t know if that makes sense or not.

The tailgate accessory was apparently way preproduction and, while looked awesome, was far from finished. The seams weren’t tight and it just didn’t look right. The rep said, before we looked at it, that the production model would be better. It’s late availability makes sense after seeing it.

Sorry if info is on another thread, but does anyone know the measurements on the 4 door bronco? Thank you in advance.
Agreed per your question above. I’m looking forward to real qualifiable measurements & comparisons of the 2D and 4D with seats up & down.

I’m on the 4D Badlands Sasquatch train but today has me reconsidering the 2D.

They could just give the 2 Door a Drop Down Tailgate instead of the Swinging Tailgate....
(and a swing away spare tire carrier..... and a rear window that could open when the tailgate is closed......) Problem Solved!!!! .......just saying........ :sneaky:
