I contacted my dealer yesterday to inquire about switching my color on my order and was told they were locked out and Ford has my order in Preview. Said I should get a VIN in the next couple weeks. So I should be getting a 2022 correct? Seems like if I don’t have a vin yet there should be more build weeks coming after September.
If you get pulled into scheduled status from preview, you dealer can give you a VIN. If they're scheduling this Thursday/Friday, you'll get a VIN then. Reach out to Ford chat late Thursday afternoon. Keep in mind being previewed does not automatically mean you will get scheduled.

I'm sure it is posted somewhere but here is my question. Does the dealer pick who they want in preview and if so how is the number decided on how many will get previewed? I assume the number is based on allocation/dealer size. Thanks in advance.

Nope, basically after putting the order in the dealer has no say. The dealer will get an allocation of how many Bronco's they will have scheduled, then Ford goes into the system and "previews" builds. If they do not have the parts availability to schedule that build, it will go out of preview status and not be scheduled. If they can build it, it will be pulled to be scheduled.

Well, well, well! It's a limited scheduling Thursday! We shall see who actually gets a VIN today. Didn't get an Off-rodeo email this morning so I might have a chance... NOT!

Unless your a Raptor order, in which case the regional Ford Reps have said to the dealer: “you get one this month, which one / send me the Order Summary Preview”

Oh man! I was shocked to see my build pulled into production within the last 30 minutes! Production date set for August 29th.
About my order:
2 dr. Badlands / 2.7/ Modular bumper / tow / High Package.
Last week I dropped the Sas-package...and I can't help but think that may have made the difference.
In addition - I'm a Sept. '20 reservation holder.

Yeah, have started debating dropping the SAS. Main thing about it that's keeping me with it is the 4.7 gearing. Probably not really necessary even if I went to 37s at some point. Have the 4 door version of your order.

Well, I'll be dipped. Just looked again and I have an 8/22 build date scheduled now.

4dr Badlands, SAS, MIC, 2.7l, High Package
7/19/20 reservation
2/26/21 1st order
10/15/21 2nd order

Wonder how long it will take the dealer to notify me about it...you know, that would take actual communication though...

A dealer reaching out? Is that a thing?

In all seriousness, congratulations on the build date.

For a limited scheduling for week of 9/5, haven't seen anybody being scheduled for that week. So far all back in August still, which is good.
