The dealer near me has a 4 door soft top sitting in the lot has snow all over it hasn't moved in weeks. It's weird it has a window sticker in it. Also has a black 2 door mic and 4door soft top sitting in the show room. All 3 have been sitting in the same spot for weeks. Another dealer has a mic 2 door cyber orange sitting out front as a dealer demo. It never moves either. Anyways back on topic sorry.

Some are affected by a airbag recall and cannot be sold until there's a replacement, safety recall stops all sales. We have one sitting on our lot affected since November 2021.

So.....what does "released" mean to Ford. It could mean a lot of things.

In the build sequence, it means something to the effect of released from final QC and/or released to ship.

"released" was an actual status in at least one of the Ford VIN/build trackers.
I saw it on my own build out and "RELEASE" from Dirt Mountain.

I received my scheduled for production email today at 5:02 PM central time. Random that it would go out on a Saturday, but random seems to be Fords MO. 549 days I have been waiting. Production week is 1/31

I agree that's probably what this means. Maybe during this quiet period they have been replacing hardtops.

Those are probably mannequins....dealer must hold them for I believe 6 months before selling...
They are allowed to dress them up with accesories..wheels lifts and so on and will most likely come with ADM!
