I don't agree. We don't know if that is related in any way to these failures. In fact we have no way of knowing if the less "robust" Nano valves ever made it into customer engines. We also don't know that they are Bronco engines, as 2.7L F-150 engines are made at the same plant. I think it is a stretch to extrapolate a sentence from a corporate morale newsletter as a definitive explanation of why Bronco engines are blowing up.
Who's engines would the less robust valves have been installed in? Who else does Lima produce engines for? Sure we connect a lot of dots here, but this one is pretty simple.

All the more reason why Ford should BOTH give each of us AA builds a Garmin inReach satellite communicator and pay for the monthly service charge.
So you complain about hyperbolic version of the telephone game and then follow up your own bit of hyperbole.
Apologies, I edited my post.

And really, ZMOG? WTF? I had to look that one up because I am not a 300 lb teenager sitting on a bed playing video games.

ZOMG is a varient of the all-too-popular acronym "OMG", meaning "Oh My God". ZOMG originated from the imageboard 4chan.org and one of it's members Zardoz. Always used in all-caps, 'ZOMG'is generally used in a sarcastic manner, more often than not a humiliating fasion. It is also used as a device for stating the obvious.

Edit: So you think changing it to a satelite communicator makes any difference? Really, get a life.

You don't think this Lima Newsletter is big ? isn't this first Ford confirmation of defective valves ? Before this we only had five rumor posts by Jay3630 back in Oct. And hundreds of blown engines w dropped valves, but still wondering if they were really caused by bad springs, or keepers, and so forth. Now we finally have Ford confirmation of bad valves - both design & materials
wait, hundreds of blown engines, I thought we're at 33 ?

Great job keeping up with all of this….same to @VictoryLights for the other tracker. It feels reassuring to read the MotorTrend article and know that it’s getting the attention it deserves…..or seems to deserve, anyway.
i just spent a lot of time catching up from 14 pages ago here from last time I checked in. Jeez!

Yep. At least we KNOW Ford will see this now. People kept saying they watch this thread, but once it hits MT, then we know for sure. Hopefully it forces an announcement of some kind from Ford. Whether it’s “the problem is solved, we’ll continue replacing as they fail” or “bring motors with dates between xxxx and yyyyyy and we’ll replace the heads” or whatever is appropriate to the problem.
This thread has come along way after the constant “there’s only 2-3 on here, not 15” crowd. Because of a few on here, a potential issue is now in the view of many.

Let me just say that my day 319 2.7 is one of the smoothest running, quietest motors I’ve ever experienced. 1600 miles. When stopped at lights I have to double check that ASS isn’t engaged cause I can’t hear it.

BINGO, F-150 2.7 engine failure 3 days ago, same symptoms, 2,000 miles.

https://www.f150ecoboost.net/threads/2-7-engine-failure.84875/

Bought this beautiful truck 1 month ago. Read alot of reviews that said the 2.7 is a great motor. Dealer had 2 sitting on the lot. Went home with the crew cab in Velocity Blue.

I was really loving the truck. Sunday morning I went to back out of my driveway and the truck just shuddered and stalled. I thought it was odd. Went to restart it and the engine wouldn't even crank. Roadside assistance came out. Battery was fine. They towed it back to my dealer.

Got the call that they've determined the engine seized and needs to be replaced. Less than 2k miles on the truck and the engine is shot.

I started looking around on other forums and noticed a lot of Broncos having this issue with the 2.7. Dealer acknowledged some kind of issue as well. They said the engine is actually back ordered from Ford.

that F-150 could be this one - heard about it last Tuesday -
- tech tell me they have a 2.7 drop a valve on a F150. Here is the engine info. 21219 120548

- in that other forum can't see if he ever posted engine ser# or ebd
Time for Ford to step up? I am sure, the F-150 owner, (Bowskillz76 https://www.f150ecoboost.net ), is heart broken. He was really loving his F-150. Ignorance is bliss eh? While I am glad I learned of the 2.7L EcoBoost issues, I would really like to go back to not thinking that my engine could blow up anytime. And I am very familiar with Murphy.

lol, there's the same type of comments on that forum as here.

"33 failures is bad but compared to how many rolled out the factory? "

🤣 🤣 🤣
HAHA, we both noticed
