I don’t know what you’re see, but it looks the same to me.

Looks great! In some of the pictures it looks to not be the same. It’s a camera/lighting issue just like the cyber orange looks not orange at all in some pictures people post

Looks good. I'm interested as well if the rear cap is within factory spec, if it will fit the Bestop Skyrider dual row softop, and if they will sell the rear cap only. My initial thoughts are probably 'No' on all three.

Mismatched and looks like it’s lightly sprayed down with line-x.

Also if it’s much darker than the MIC top then it probably doesn’t match as well with the the stock fenders. The texture surely does not match well either. Although I’m pretty particular over that -ie when the black painted mod top was dropped in 2020 I decided to finally commit to getting the sasquatch on my OBX so that instead of painted fenders/painted top, I would tie in the unpainted sas fenders to match the MIC top instead of an all-painted body/roof with Aftermarket wheels/tires. In the OPs photos it’s not as big of a deal since the fenders are removed.

putting aesthetics aside I’m sure these are much more durable than stock

The top is textured, so light will not reflect off of each panel the same way as I’m sure however the texture lies, the reflection will bounce differently.
Agree. When applying metallic paint, if you don't apply in the same orientation to every panel, it will look different. With a textured finish, you can end up with a different texture depending on distance of the gun to the panel and other factors. I'll bet these tops blow away the mic tops in terms of durability.

Looks awesome. Congrats!

Nice to know there's a quality replacement available in case I ever need to replace mind out of warranty.

My exact thoughts, I'd love it if a 2 door version comes out (unlikely from what I've heard) & if my current sunrider would bolt up to it. I have little faith in my MIC's longevity.

Anderson is working on the 2Dr version and should be ready later this year.

Looks great, I’m interested in seeing how the white version looks. Can’t say I would go for the white top but wouldn’t mind seeing how it turns out. I’m leaning towards this too though.

Nice top and a nice rig. Really happy to see there is atleast another option for hard tops out there. I've got my BL w/ a hard top coming, but I feel for y'all who have to throw another $6-$7K. That's $DOH that isn't being spent on other cooler bits.

hopefully these are more in line with Jeep top prices when all our MICs start rotting to pieces. They look great and I really like the headliner.

So color matching is not just a Webasto problem then?

Screenshot 2023-04-12 140654.png
It almost looks as if the color coating or spray or finishing process on that middle panel was in the opposite direction of others.

Just as if blades of grass reflect light and give lawn stripes, it's like they sprayed the wrong direction or the mold is angled opposite of others.
