I don't like the idea of the engine shutting down at a stoplight. The ford focus I'm renting has this, and it drives me crazy. Why doesn't Ford make this an option? Because no one would want it.
It's to help meet ever increasing fuel economy standards.

I've experienced the Ford systems and I don't have a problem with that. It drove my mom nuts for some reason, and I didn't understand it.

According to this article, an SAE study said it can be as much as 8% fuel savings:

https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-ca...ink the amount, eight percent in heavy traffic.

as others have stated, yes apply a load (literally a nightlight) to the 110 outlet (house plug) and it will disengage the system
probably a dumb question, but would this nightlight continue to run (draw) once the engine is switched off?

My dealer said there was an option to turn it off. I’m not sure how true that is...

Also, getting a tune they usually give you the option of leaving the S/S on or off.

This one is for the F150, looks like a very easy install. If they come out with one or the Bronco, I'll get it.

What’s up fam! As we (hopefully) approach delivery or build schedule, I wanted to start getting some things in line as far as day one accessories.

does anyone have an experience with auto start/stop eliminators? It drove me nuts in the AT4. I get there’s a switch, but I’d like to disable the feature completely. Are there any cons? Any companies you have experience with that may launch a bronco specific one?

thanks in advance!
Yup, i've eliminated it in my '19 Bronco and posted about it.

Plenty of content here and on Ranger5G to answer this question, you need only use the search function.

Also plenty of content on FORSCAN including dedicated threads about it between the two forums.

This ends up being really annoying with the dongle down by your legs. Also, damaging your OBDII port is pretty awful if you were to pin it out of the way.

Most people (myself included) with the Ranger ended up going the FORSCAN route and simply turning the feature off entirely.

They use auto start stop, because the EPA loop for determining mileage is 25% stopped. If you live is a metropolis it may save a little fuel, except for the fuel wasted re-starting. Where I live, we rarely stop, so there is no savings, but annoying as hell to have the A/C start blowing warm air for the 3 min. that you're stopped. Again, another stupid idea by regulators.

I always wonder exactly what about it drives people nuts. Can you go in to more detail on that? I’ve only ridden in 1 vehicle that had it and after the first 1-2 times it just didn’t bother me.
I swear it only drives people nuts because someone told them it should. Auto start/stop is not nearly as intrusive or annoying as the internet makes it out to be.

People should be thankful for features like start/stop for helping keep our gas vehicles on the roads.

I wonder if you can wire it to one of the AUX switches!
I would love to see someone post a "How To" YouTube video using one of the AUX switches...
