I still don't understand the hate for the auto start stop. Aside from it sounding harsh on startup I don't even realize it most of the time.
I’m afraid that the multiple starts put undue strain on the starter. I am not a fan!

The 2021 auto start stop has to be reset every fricken time you shut off the motor.
I installed the eliminator myself.
Saves wear and tare on the starter motor, battery, and my nerves.
Works great,love it.
I get it.... I forget to push the button until the first stop coming out of the neighborhood..... Then I turn my ASS off. I say it out loud every time I do it too.

But... the FP tune (for added horsepower and torque etc. etc.....) is supose to "remember" previous settings after shut down. So the next time you start the engine the ASS - OFF is remembered and you do not have to push the button..... I believe this is the same thing that your product is doing for a lot less money..... BUT since I am going to acquire the FP tune, (yes, Lethal has a great black Friday sale on it right now) .... I do not think I will need it.

It was nice being able to disable the start/stop in our previous '21 bronco via Forscan but unfortunately our '23 doesn't allow it. I'm not a fan of tying up the OBD2 port with the start/stop eliminator which is why I haven't purchased the aftermarket solution. I've had the ASS permanently disabled via Forscan in all my vehicles for several years up until this '23 bronco.
I bought one from Amazon for my 2023 Badlands and it did not work. I had to end up returning it. The installation was easy, but it threw error codes whenever I started the vehicle.

So, I went ahead and spent more money for the Autostop Eliminator and it worked! I felt that the installation was worse than the Chinese version from Amazon, but it has at least been 100% effective.

I have one of the units that connects inline with the cable behind the control head. It doesn't eliminate ASS, but remembers the setting so you don't have to push the button every time you start. It works great, and I like the fact ASS can still be used which I do occasionally for longer stops. Installation requires removing the trim panel around the control unit. One of the top clips didn't want to let go and I was afraid of breaking the panel, but I pushed it out from the rear with a rod. Aside from this, installation is a snap. From what I know the Forescan method doesn't actually disable ASS, but fakes it by making the ECU think the wheels are turned, which could have other side affects. I like the fact the inline unit doesn't modify anything.

FWIW…I always drive my Wildtrack in Sport mode, which disables the auto start/stop. Gas mileage is not a concern, since I always drive it like I stole it!:LOL:
I never cared about MPG, too lead footed and Italian too care.

Only problem I got now is I need a sports or muscle car, did all I could performance wise with whats available minus the fart cans and wanna go faster.

^ This. First thing I do after start-up is to put in Sport Mode which disables the ASS so it's never an issue.

I thought I could live with this - after all, the Bronco asks you if you want to return to Sport mode when you start it back up. But half the time I'd be doing something and miss the prompt, and not remember until I get to the first stop sign.

It seems a simple thing to just hit a button, or just turn a dial when you start it up - but I spent a lot of money on this thing, I'd like it to work the way I want it to work.

👆 This... And to the OP, do you have a link? No offense, but that should have been a given if you're proposing a fix. Then again, I guess we could just search on Amazon, but that's too much work.
Apparently just pushing a button is also too much work 😅

I was looking for one until I found out the engine would only stop if I put my foot firmly on the brake. If I just push it down enough to hold the car during stop it won't shut down.
