Has anyone seen or purchased this auto/stop bypass? I was looking at the install video, what would happen if I just got in there and disconnected the plug for the auto stop button??

If you disable the button, you just won't be able to disable ASS

I used ForScan to disable mine. It can still be enabled easily by pressing the dash switch twice.

Why when it’s $100 vs a $20 adapter and Forscan?
Simply that ASE remembers your previous setting and essentially depresses the ASS button for you. FORScan tricks the Bronco into thinking that you are providing an input, I believe steering, that you are not. I use FORScan for plenty of things, but not to disable ASS.

I believe FORScan tricks the computer into thinking that you are actively giving steering input which prevents the ASS from engaging. I’m sure it’s fine, but I don’t want the computer thinking I’m doing something that I’m not.

The ASE simply remembers the last state ASS was in and “presses” the button for you if needed. To the vehicle it’s the same as if you pressed it manually.

I found it to be straightforward and 100% worth it. 10-minute install. If you skip to about 4 minutes in this video I talk about the process and tools I thought were helpful
