Ford's disconnect is hydraulic not electric. Big difference is you can do it on the "fly". Electric has to be done before you are crossed up.

Refer to post 1 AND ITS SOURCES. Even I made a mistake here.

The 4.70:1 Ring and pinion is STANDARD for both the 2.3L, and Sasquatch, but NOT with the Automatic.

I will update Post #1 to reflect this more accurately.

Donā€™t confuse yourselves people. Refer to post 1.

The 4.70:1 Ring and pinion is STANDARD for both the 2.3L, 2.7L, and Sasquatch variants on Badlands.

The only gearing that changes is that of the 10sp transmissionā€™s 1st gear - giving you a different crawl ratio. Again the auto is not the standard option.

The final 4.70 drive ratio remains constant throughout in any Badlands variant.

Yeah, fully get that you get more travel w/ diso. Question is what do they do to limit it if you upgrade to Sasquatch on the BL? Just a bigger bump stop? A spacer over the coil? A real suspension mod? Can we just throw on 35s if we don't sasq? And why can we only do it w/ the auto?

That is false. Badlands with an auto is 4.46. With a manual or Sasquatch, it goes up to 4.7. Post 1 doesn't show data for a Badlands with an auto and no sasquatch, just the manual.

Sorry Fordboi - I let you down...

Gamecock & Fordboi - I recommend you remove my quote of the old incorrect information so we don't accidentally confuse more people.

On one of the videos I watched, they said the Badlands with 33's will have more articulation than the Sasquatch with 35's. They had to limit the articulation to fit the bigger tires. I want to see them both, but as an everyday driver with 60 miles of highway each day, thinking the 33's may be the way to go.

Badlands no Sasquatch here. Iā€™m going for the 33ATs which I hope we make as well. Not sure on engine yet. I do know Auto for sure. But otherwise which ever gets the better MPGs. Shortly after this thing is delivered Iā€™ll be taking off to Alaska for vacation. IL to Deadhorse is 4200 miles one way. Planning on put some miles on that bad-boy first few months lol.

Iā€™m hoping that on the BL trim, theyā€™ll offer the 4.70 final drive ratio as a stand alone option when selecting the 2.7L/Auto power plant. Iā€™d prefer to upgrade to 37ā€ tires, beadlock wheels, and suspension. This will allow me to run the stock 33ā€ AT tires which are more suitable for winter road conditions on CO.

I have updated the comparison chart in post #1 to show ground speed / 1000 rpm in the crawler gears. Also added a note clarifying the final drive ratio with the optional 10sp auto tranny. True differences between stock Badlands suspension and Sasquatch suspension are unknown.
