I don’t think the base gets adaptive cruise, lane keeping, BLIS, or any of that jazz. But this document contradicts the spec site and what some dealers have said. Again, we have to wait for the B&P.

i don't know if i should be happy i can get aux switches or mad I'm now going to pay for aux switches.
They are usually cheap, right. It’s a sub-$200 option on the SuperDuty.

Why I may not do Base vs Badlands.

-SASQ same additional cost for both (it's a wash)
-Rock rails already on (approx cost 300+ to base model price)
-Different bumper (prefer Badlands but if got base probably mod it myself)
-Privacy glass (prefer Badlands but if got base would leave alone. Basically a non-issue)
-Rubber flooring and Marine grade seating (PRICELESS but free to cut out carpet, About 600+ for Wet Okole covers)
-Tow package (not sure if optional on base model)
-Disco's (not sure if you can get on base model but since I no longer rock crawl I can live without)
-Manual trans on 4 door (NOT avail on base? Might I have to rethink auto with bigger motor?)

I did this mainly for me, to see if it would make sense to pay for a higher model.
---I guess IF I can compromise on the transmission which I can not easily change BUT after looking up "average automatic transmission rebuild cost (2800-3800) on AAMCO's site I should probably factor in some dollars here as a future savings...let's say $2000 deducted from the Badlands cost. I have had ZERO issues with my manuals for the past 2 decades. No trans/clutch issues
---Add rock rails (easily done)
---Change/mod bumper(s) (easily done)
---Who cares about glass...roof and doors off 7 and 6 months respectively
---Cut out carpet (did this with current JP and since I do not sell my vehicles, no worries about killing resale value)
---Tow package - wait an see if avail on base model
---Can I compromise on the area 51 color option???
_______________________________________________________________________
Base 4 door starting price..33,200.00 + Sasq package = ???
Badlands 4 door starting....44,590.00 + Sasq package = ???
(not factoring in any trans repair costs)
If I add to the base model all the things I would pay to change fairly quickly, my base model cost might go up by say 900-2000

Soooo, is it worth 11,390 (or 9,390-10,490) to get the added extra goodies, 1st paint choice? Food for thought between now and December. Posting this on here in case others are able to offer insight
EDIT: THOUGHTS on Sasq price: cost difference between Badlands: $44,590 and Wildtrak (which includes Sasq) : $51,370
in the 4 door versions is about 6K+. Will have to see how much Sasq is alone as a package.
that $6K plus is mostly engine and transmission cost (Wildcat is V6/auto standard, the Badlands is the 4/manual standard). Upgrading the badlands to Sasquatch won't cost as much as other trims because the badlands already has everything the sasquatch has except the 2 inch lift and 35s. The sasquatch will also need the automatic transmission, but will be a wash across all the trims.

I only want basic cruise control, you never realize how great cruise control is until you don’t have it.

Meanwhile the website says this under the base specs.

i have never used and will never use cruze control.
I sometimes use cruise control to go through town at 25MPH, so I’m on the opposite end of that spectrum.

Cruise control keeps me from getting tickets and also keeps me from losing my mind on the many highway trips I do.

Who is actually putting their money where their mouth is and getting a base model? Count me in! 2-door, base, 7 speed, and sasquatch of course. Going for cactus grey, I am in AZ after all! I will add aux switches if available. Nothing else I really need, I'll go aftermarket!
Finally, seeing a thread for Base. IMO Base would fit my budget, looking forward for a 4 Door w/Sasquatch Package in Black.

My guess is more than 5k... But we will see. If it's less than 35k for a base bronco with 35 inch tires and lockers than that will be an incredible deal and Jeep will have to rethink everything.
If the Sasquatch Package is about 5k then its a good deal for the 35 Inch Tire and Rims for a set of 4 would come to approx. $2k and the rest of it for other stuff, would still be a good add-on to Base.

I thought backup cameras were required by law to be standard on cars starting 2016?

They are. Back up camera is standard. I guess everything above the Base can get the Mid Package that adds the assist gridlines. Sort of a predictive path.
