so when it’s time to replace tires, now you have to replace 5 instead of just 4 since you put the spare in rotation...
But now that spare is all dry rotted and nasty and needs to be replaced anyways. Might as well use it up.

I don't care to rotate 5 as 1 will always not be exactly the same as the other 4 in terms of wear.

True, but you went 20% further so the exact same total cost but you went longer without new tires...and you’re not stuck with an oddball tire if you decide to change sizes or tire type.
But that was kinda might point...you will have an “odd ball” no matter what...even your first rotation, 4 will have more miles than the spare...that spare will not catch up to the other 4, however you do the math...

Sure it will. Each tire gets an equal turn on the back before it rotates back in.

I don't care to rotate 5 as 1 will always not be exactly the same as the other 4 in terms of wear.
Then you have a new tire on the rear that you never use. If you do a 5 tire rotation your tires last 20% longer.

Plus, you get to blow the tire salesman's mind by asking for 5 tires.

Never had that issue with the Jeep. But like i said, gotta at least rotate its orientation on the carrier.

still does not resolve the fact that 1 tire will always have a different wear level.

And I don't care about lasting 20% longer.

I apologize, you are correct after 5 rotations, and driving the same thing every single day, no extra miles, no side trips or road trips, yes, they will even out....never owned a vehicle i did 5 rotations on...my apologies. But now you will always have 3 same tread and one “oddball” at all time correct?

Even if you just rotate your four, they aren't going to be worn the exact same...

huh? You’re using the same 4 all the time, how would it not me the same? You‘ll probably say it all depends on the location on the vehicle (front or rear)? But 4 is as close as you will get to similar wear pattern than 5.

you are forgetting about 2 important facts. The spare will not have a TPMS. I have owned a GEN1 and GEN2 Raptor and the spare does not have a TPMS ... and get this .. it is not even balanced.

I removed my spare in my GEN1 and GEN2 raptor and had them balanced just in case I had to use them.

You still want me to drink from your well?

:)
