Looks like their body construction area built a little over 40 so far this week with about a 4:1 ratio of 4dr to 2dr. All built on afternoon shift (in body. Unsure about the time frame of final assembly).

We are a strange bunch here at Ford. 1st shift is midnight shift, and 2nd shift is day shift, usually starting production around 0600
I read an article recently about the F150, and it stated that an F150 rolled off the line every minute!...How accurate is that? And how long would it be before they are turning out Bronco's that fast?

It's my opinion these won't be the dealer FCTP units. I could be wrong, but in the past these would be the first ones scheduled after Job 1 (was the case on Bronco Sport). If they are early builds for dealers, we'd need to be ordering them in the next couple of weeks so we'll find out soon.

What I believe these builds will be is:

A. Press cars- Magazines will have reviews come out about the time shipping starts but they have to have pre-job one units to allow for this.

B. Education and Training cars. Training reps will get Broncos to take to dealers to train sales people on them.

C. Off Rodeo units. I'm betting these will be early build as well, not sure if they'll get roll cages and safety equipment added, but if so Ford will want extra time to have these ready before dealer training starts.

D. Ford company cars. This is where I see the majority of these early builds going. Ford will use them for employee cars, gives them something to drive, but also puts them in service in a controlled environment where problems can be located before OK to ship is given for customer cars. Ford is currently selling a ton of Escapes that were this, I just bought A00951 which was built 7/30/19 (Job 1 was 8/14/19) and the window sticker has "VEHICLE NOT FOR SALE" written across it. I also see some dealers having one. I've seen them give these to dealer council members to test out in the past, but there are only a few dealers on the council, but again these still belonged to Ford and had to be turned back in.

F-150s number 800K+ units sold per year... That is 1.6 units per minute if you assume 50 weeks of production running 24/7. Actually a higher rate because plants don't run that continuously.

Preface: Many of you know me from "the other" sites but I'm fortunate to have a few contacts remaining from my old days as a freelance auto industry journalist.

After earning its last required Federal certifications at the end of last week, every Bronco 2dr/4dr built starting this week and forward at MAP are legally sellable to the public (note that this does NOT affect Ford's OKTB, which will come sometime around the published Job 1 date).

From this past Monday through the next couple weeks, MAP is in a "Pre Mass Production" phase, running final-form Broncos on 2nd shift only. I don't have clarification on if these will be press demo units or the start of the dealer demo units, but my guess is a mix of both.

In any event, after a week or two of final downtime to prep for both shifts of full production, Bronco 2dr/4dr are set to enter "Phase 1 Mass Production" on Monday, March 29th. This does NOT change the published, public Job 1 date, but dealer demos, press cars, and Bronco orders will be built long before May. Nothing can be shipped to dealers for sale until the OKTB (Okay To Buy) is issued, typically through a series of batch builds, stops, and inspections. It's not unusual, however, for the OKTB to be issued BEFORE the published Job 1 date. This actually happened with the Ranger's launch at MAP.

I can't say for certain how this will impact the exact delivery date of my Bronco or yours, but actual, real production units will be rolling down the line at launch speed in about a month.
I have no idea what this all means, but from everyone’s reaction I’m getting stoked 👍🏽💪🏽

I prefer my order to be built after around June 1 at least. Let a few thousand run through MAP first. Put in a good word for me...
June 1st is good for me as that is my BD , that would be a badass present to me:D

Two plants each producing F150s at one per 52 seconds when everything is in full tilt.

The Bronco, of course won't ever reach F150 production levels. But if you figure a Bronco is similar enough to an F150 in production complexity, you could figure one could be produced about every minute in full production. By "Job 1" date, Ford should be able to go at full speed. Maybe some insiders will know what the planned Ranger/Bronco mix is going to be, both initially and long-term.

This makes a lot of sense - especially because dealers are supposed to be sending the Bronco Specialists to an Off-Roadeo in May(?).
