i liked the Warthog name. But i am not surprised considering the "Mach E MUSTANG" which is not a mustang btw. i think they could have further developed the separate brand identity of the Bronco family by putting W A R T H O G across the grill instead of F O R D or rapter or whatever

Because naming it after an animal and a turkey sized dinosaur that went extinct 71 Million years ago makes prefect sense.
Highmaster: Ford Lincoln Mercury Sable?

Beldar Conehead: A personal conveyance named after its inventor, an assassinated ruler, a character from Greco-Roman myth and a small fur-covered mammal.”

per article in today’s Ford Authority:

https://fordauthority.com/2021/05/ford-bronco-warthog-might-launch-under-different-name-exclusive/

Sources familiar with the matter have told us that Ford’s current leadership favors powerful, well-recognized names over new names that would need to establish recognition in the marketplace. It is precisely for that reason that two of the newest Ford products rely on existing names with plenty of history, cachet, recognition.

We’re of course referring to FoMoCo’s decision to name its first dedicated EV as the Mustang Mach-E (rather than just “Mach-E”) and its first electric pickup the F-150 Lightning (rather than F-150 EV or F-150 Electric). In that light, the Warthog name has no recognition beyond those closely following the latest Bronco-related news and developments. In fact, it’s not even clear which of the four warthogs inspired the Warthog name to begin with.
WHO GIVES A SHIT?! WE STILL DON'T HAVE A SINGLE BRONCO IN CUSTOMER HANDS!!!

How about calling it the Bronco Too? Name recognition and still a Bronco, but also different.

Bronco Raptor. I can live with that. Never cared much for the Warthog moniker.

All that quote does is point out how many different brands they used to put on the same vehicle resulting in 4 cars with the same owners manual.

We need a poll for the name:

A. RedBack
B. Big Bronco
C. etc.....
It better be the Warthog. And I better be able to get it in the green gas can paint color or I might just lose my mind. Lol.

My license plate is "KRNIVOR" regardless!!!! My (Totalled) Baby I owned for 8 years before I lost her. I used and abused her because she was BUILT to handle it! And if this Bronco is ANYTHING like these... YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THEM!!!!... I've waited 2 years for this... - Put her on her left side during an icy run on a 90° right (off camber) turn. Couldn't Save Her...

...and to clarify...I will not be getting a 2022 Raptor because of the gawd awful blue suede interior that is mandatory on the "37 Package" - If Ford decides to go with BLACK Ricaro Seats with the Code Orange stitching as an available option on the "37 Package" then it will ABSOLUTELY be an F150 Raptor again. If not - BRONCO "KRNIVOR" it is!

Can we not ignore the A10 Blacksnakes? If we have to stick with a Reptiles, the trucks can be the Raptor, the Mustang can be the Cobra, how about the Rattler or Diamondback? Colorado has the Broncos football team, Arizona has the Diamondbacks... Plus this nose art looks better than the tusks of the Warthogs.
