How the hell is the 2dr with the 2.7 a potentially delayed combo??? 2.7s laying around for F150s and the 2 door should be easier to build?? WTF.
My guess is a limited number of hard tops. Hopefully enough to build a couple thousand, but maybe not enough to build projected orders.

Surprised the manual trans isn't on that list. Lucky for me I don't have anything in my build to cause a delay. Hopefully will find out where I am on my dealer's list soon.

How do they know actual demand until they start to get reservations? Are they going off of B&P hypothetical builds? The default build is a 2dr. How many people made a 2dr build when they wanted a 4dr. and maybe hit reserve without checking?
I'm wondering if it was based off the survey but the sample size was so small it doesn't make sense. I'm going 4dr, 2.7 BD with Sasquatch and I don't really expect my early am 7/14 Bronco until August or so, if it comes sooner cool and if it comes too late then I will weigh options as $50k buys ALOT of vehicle.

How is the Mod Top "Late Availability" when it states that they're going to be available in the summer, which is also the earliest our Broncos will begin shipping. I call BS on summertime MOD tops.

With how many F150's they build, there aren't all that many spare motors lying around.

2.3 is the standard motor for the Michigan assembly line and goes in Ranger and Bronco, It's also the only delivery destination for that motor.

As to building bodies: This isn't underwater rocket surgery. Ford made calculated estimates of what split they believed 2-door/4-door Bronco would be ordered in and the body supplier/factory started sourcing materials and stamping dies for that volume. It appears they used Jeep orders as the basis for their estimates (about 7:1-8:1) and that actual orders are closer to 4:1-5:1. This isn't a huge deal as it's unlikely Bronco will be built at 5:1 ratio for the life of the model. Initial-release year orders often have these oddball variances as those who really want some obscure build will get it first and then few will be ordered afterward.

Ranger had the same issue with it's Super Cab/Crew Cab reservations. As soon as those obscure Super Cab orders were built, it's back to about a 8:1 ratio of Crew Cabs selling (non-fleet orders). FWIW, our Super Cab ranger was delivered in fairly short order and they had warned of slow deliveries on them. Overall it was a delay of about an extra month, the delay for a TSB on the door keypad was over 3 months. (yes I realize that 2-door Bronco orders surpass Super Cab Ranger orders by a wide margin, it's also a much more sought after re-launch than Ranger).

Most likely, yes. At this point I don't really see the point of converting a reservation into an order for a Bronco that I will not see until sometime in the Spring or summer of 2022.

The McDLT was not a bad roll-out..it was a bad product. It was their solution to a problem that did not exist to a market that didn't give a hoot.
Can Ford get Jason Alexander to help with the roll out?
