Has anyone tried these flat hook straps from Harbor Freight? Curious how well they fit into the roof rack slots compared to some of the other ones linked here.

I tried a similar one from Northern tool and they worked fine . I couldn’t come up with a good way to get them to the length I wanted without extra stuff which is why I returned them.

@TXBrian What's the distance between the winch hook and the bottom of the hard top with this configuration? I'm trying to see if I have enough room to put a winch on a slider and then rest the hard top down onto a ceiling mounted storage rack.

16” give or take a 1/2”.

Put some hooks in the joists and put a couple tie downs around for peace of mind .
My other car fits right under it!

Same here. I leave the top off the bronco so the MB only gets driven if the weather is bad. But even then, I usually will take my wife’s car so I don’t get mine dirty lol.
Was actually thinking of trading the GLS for a GLE or something more sporty or getting another Raptor. But I love driving the Bronco so can’t make up my mind.

I traded my '18 F150 Raptor for the '21 GLE63s - was trying to get the G63, but the wait is ridiculous.

My other car (Porsche 911) never gets driven anymore. Time to sell.

On a 4 door, it’s between the rear slots on the hard top.

Yes. The strap uses a foot or more of valuable ceiling height. This would also reduce flex at the roof connection from a free hook.
