I haven't been around the Ford 2.7L before, so can anyone tell me how it sounds driving? I know it wont have a beefy sound like a V8 but does it sound decent? I wouldnt mind adding a new muffler at some point to improve the sound, but hopefully stock it will have a decent growl to it!

The 2.7 sounds like a small engine there is nothing exciting about it. I know current F-150's pump in fake engine noise through the speakers to make it sound better. Not sure if Broncos will as well. Spending any money on exhaust upgrades will be a complete waste. You'll make a weak sounding motor a slightly noisier weak sounding motor.

Its fast though and the speed will put a smile on your face.

Mine sounds like a farm implement. Not loud, just not pleasing. Sometimes with the window down you can hear the turbos, that’s kind of 😎

Should sound similar to the stock F150 with the 2.7. Additionally here is the sound with the Borla Atak.

yeah... sounds like a Honda... 😕

It doesn't sound good at all, but, man, I had some fun with it in my f150

I'm fine with the sound of muscle cars from many decades ago, but I deplore the modern-day antics of loud cars/trucks/cycles. They're fake.

i've said it in other threads on this same topic and i'll say it again- it sounds like many other v6's i've heard- like a leaf blower and making it louder just makes it worse! good news is it'll prob be faster than you need, especially with the ford tune.
