didn't some people just switch the side steps left to right which then made it possible to use the cheap flaps from Ford w/o mods? I might remember that wrong, I have the rails and Gatorback flaps (but not from Ford) so never really paid that much attention, but I believe at least some kind of side step works if you just flip them around and to the other side. Might be worth a search here.

I think others just cut the steps a bit short and put the plastic end cap back on, not sure that's what I'd do, could have done the same with my rails, but getting the fitting flaps seemed a bit safer than starting to cut off pieces.

All we’re getting is “coming soon!”.
Worse yet, I emailed them last month and they responded with "we have no official ETA at this time".

I at first thought to myself, I'm not really going to go tear up any trails anytime soon in my Bronco so I probably will never need mudflaps. Then my wife bought us a weekend away at a cabin in the Appalachian mountains last weekend. It snowed about 6 inces in march which was unusual but not unheard of. Turns out the cabin was 1.7 miles down a gravel driveway. Have you ever driven 1.7 miles trying to stay around 5mph for fear of effing up your brand new 2Dr SAS (Rockrails) Bronco....not fun. So yes I think the mudflap posts are quite relevant. Now if I could only find a pair I like. The Weathertech may be necessary until someone makes one without that gap, which I don't like, but I wish I would have had them last weekend. ;o) When is Rockblokz actually going to release theirs. Don't see them on their website?

I can speak to this exactly. I was driving on gravel and had to slow down to about 3-5mph to minimize rocks being thrown. It was so bad that there were rocks being thrown from the rear tires onto the hood of the Bronco. From my brief inspection, it doesn't look like there were any chips or dings but I wouldn't want to take that gamble again.

I did buy the weathertech flaps and they were easy to install and seem to work pretty well. I can't speak to whether the gap in them allows for more rocks to travel through but weathertech said that it shouldn't be an issue. If nothing else, it's less than $100 for all 4 tires, pretty small investment until something else better comes out.

I did this. Took a little time.
Thanks for sharing. I see you have SAS sized tires but looks like this may not have SAS fender flares? Can you confirm that? From what I have read the stock mudflaps do not work with SAS Fender Flares.

Yes you are correct. SAS wheel and tire, big bend size fender flares. I'm not sure if they work with the SAS fenders.

i wonder if they’ll have a set that will be compatible with the side step. that’s the biggest problem i’m having is finding ones that’ll fit. even if i do the modification people are doing to fit the sasquatch flares, it still won fit with the side step
This came off their website in a comment from Rokblokz left yesterday March 15

All parts are finally in, we are just finalizing the kit so that when it ships it is PERFECT!
We hear you on the rock chip issues so we are creating multiple sizes so you can find the best fit for your style. There will be 4 size options for non sasquatch vehicles and 2 options for those with the sasquatch package.
More details and web pages should be available soon.
Our kit will work with factory rock rails. They should work with the side steps, but we have not yet confirmed this.
The flaps will be quick release so that you can easily remove them if you get into a crazy trail and dont want to risk ripping the flap off.

Since you did another post about mud flaps, here’s another comment saying that mud flaps are hideous looking and completely overhyped here.

Unless you live down a gravel road, this is dumb.
Hmm. It's winter here so my Bronco has literally never seen a gravel road and yet had a handful of rock chips by 500 miles.

So no, this is not dumb. Mud flaps are barely even noticeable, let alone "hideous"

I see you live in LA, which explains a lot. Enjoy your pavement princess. Not everyone has the luxury of clean, dry, paved roads 100% of the time and it's foolish to make no attempt at protecting your expensive new car.

Do you imagine that people who live in LA are without access to off road options?

Rokblokz is making a set that is quick disconnect so you don't rip them off in the woods or rock crawling. Jeep ones are 250ish.

The word "Soon" here is doing a lot of heavy lifting. We've been waiting months for these, LiteBrite even got a set and made a video about them so we all thought soon, but nothing yet. These are going to be expensive but worth it for me. Great combo of quick disconnect and looks good.

Some people....like the way mud flaps look. I'm one of those people. Also ask me how many divots in my paint I have on my door from wheeling once, go on, ask me. Get out of here with your "live down a gravel road" bs

Don't want to be that guy.... But not all of us bought 4 door broncos. My 2 door was flinging rocks far up the door that when I have my doors off it would hit me as I drive. So even though I hate the look of the flaps I put them on to not get pummeled with rocks as I drive.
