In our densely populated state there are very few places to off-road and snow has diminished or it’s cleaned off a road pretty fast. We have more road salt per capita than anyone else unfortunately!
I keep all of my vehicles nice and make them the way I want while owning.
Mall crawl name call away..don’t care. I don’t like destroying something I paid dearly for either.

But Compta, you live off a dirt road, don’t that count for something? :ROFLMAO:

If you’re from or live in the Great Sovereign State of Alabama, then by birthright, you have cred as a real wheeler or tough guy, cause ALABAMA!
I lived on a dirt road for 14 years, lol...got me a house built in Shelby County now. I even have an HOA, haha. no toilets for flowerpots in my neighbors front yard any more.

Serious question then, and I really do not mean to offend. Your stuff do what you want, but if you will never see off road why then buy a Bronco? There are many cross-overs with the same on road attributes at a lot lower cost. No need for a robust frame or larger components. Why then spend the extra money?
Answered your question in my long first post; that’s why he/they do it. It’s all good, I find it flattering.

As for the hit dogs, guess you need to consult someone older, very old phrase that means even if you don’t admit directly, when something said hits you or makes you feel it’s aimed at you, even when just a general statement, you’ll react to it without direct provocation.

Hint: that old person ain‘t gonna take the time to spell it out to you as above. Maybe been up there in Jackson for too long with all them rich fancy folk. 😆 All jokes aside, can I fly up and crash with you for a ski trip? :)

I’m a whenever-I-can-be warrior, sometimes weekends, some times seasonally. I am hardcore hunter and outdoorsman at heart, but can’t do it near as much as I would like for several reasons. Loved fast cars my whole life, had several, and have fond memories of Broncos from when I was a kid. My dad always had 4x4’s, never a Bronco, but a few different brands. I respect others opinions, old school. That’s the main thing I hate about the ‘net. So many asses that make themselves better by puttin others down. You have said it better than me, good job.
As an outdoorsman, you sound pretty legit to me. My rig won’t see dirt for another couple of months yet as I break in the engine and learn its tendencies and noises it makes, and add a few essential mods. Until then, no malls here in Atlanta, but it will see a fancy shopping center up in Alpharetta, a few fancy food halls, and parked outside of my favorite bars, so it has been and will continue to ‘mall crawl”.

I’ve got nothing to prove, I know who I am and secure in my manhood. You feel secure as well because you owe no one an explanation.

You’re getting it dirty when you have the time and you go outside; that’s the only thing I care about. I’m a bit of a nature and national and state parks advocate and supporter, so it’s my soapbox.

Good discussion you’ve started; hope it helps guys feeling as you expressed.

I think you can safely say most 4wd vehicles never see their full potential,do what you want with it. (It may help to throw some dirt on it every now and then and skip the detailing guy for a while)

I had a couple of Miatas over a 15 year span that were setup for autocross that I only did occasionally but used to love it when people called it a hair dressers car and then go take them for a quick run around the block.

Is it just me, or are many of you offended when the term “Mall Crawler” is used to describe your beloved ride? Just because I didn’t buy my Bronco to go hard core off reading ALL THE TIME and I choose to dress it up to make it my own, doesn’t make it a mall crawler. I bought it for may reasons. I always make all of my rides somewhat uniquely mine. Wheels, tires, exhaust etc. My ride may be a “Neighborhood Nuisance”, a “Drag Strip Diva”, or a ”Highway Hauler”, but it sure the hell isn’t a mall crawler.
Why ddi you buy a badlands then??

It is my daily driver for commuting to/from work (21 miles each way, stuck in gridlock), but it gets plenty of time in 4wd too, and my pressure washer has been busier than ever over the past 4 months (7k miles).

I think it's funny how many people are offended by what others say about their choices or sports team.
I like making fun of WildTrak's in general as the sticker package, or mall crawler, because it brings out the people who are insecure with themselves and need some validation via their material possessions. Especially on here where the majority are Bronco owners and most of us love them all. Unfortunately the '23 WildTraks now have bespoke suspension, so me poking fun doesn't make as much sense anymore.

I will not make fun of specific builds. I think it's rude, insulting, and hurtful. Plus, I genuinely like all the different ways people modify their Broncos to tailor them to their personality. I'll offer critiques or suggestions, but usually try to figure out the intended use first, otherwise the advise is not relevant at best, wrong at worst.

So, please, everyone post your low profile mud tire builds, slammed builds, high horse power builds, desert runner builds, show builds, trail builds, and overlanding builds.
I love seeing the diversity! How boring would it be if nobody modified their Bronco? Or if everyone modified it the same way? Yuck.
