This video is correct if you're referring to the 4 door version only. The other difference is that there is a removable panel in the roof of the 2 door.

As for the weight, when I claimed a 50% weight difference, that is solely based on my lifting the MIC and painted panels. If I had a scale I'd be able to give more exact info as to just how much heavier the painted top will be.

I probably should have said between 33% and 50% since I was just estimating things.
I'm guessing that the heavier painted top would be better quality and be quieter inside and block more heat/cold?

Is there a chance that changing between both is possible? It'd be o=worth it for those hotter beach days for sure.
Between soft and hard??
You can literally buy your Bronco with both... "dual tops" by the sounds of it.

Don’t forget the molded in color top is 50% lighter too

Should be an interesting choice for us
I wonder if there is a texture difference as well. Maybe the great hardtop is bumpy like the Jeep, and IIRC the original Bronco and Blazer were.

I believe so. The prototypes seem to have a textured surface for the molded in color and smooth for painted

Sounds like it because Ford is offering the dual top with hard and soft. I don’t know what it entails but sounds like you can switch between the two

This worries me a bit... I remember shopping for a rooftop carrier from Yakima. One was the usual molded, textured plastic and one option was *automotive finish"...basically painted, and it was WAY more money
☹

Absolutely more expensive. Finish needs to be perfect.

White would be nice on the "rough" top but it gets and stays dirty very easily.

I'd prefer the lighter, cheaper MIC top... With modular glass. Just more to clean and wax with the painted top... And cry over when you get the inevitable scratches

At the moment dual tops aren't available for the Base Trim. If i go up to the Big Bend i could, but I am a little unsure of having a soft top full time. The weather is fickle in Florida.

At least you don't have to deal with Canadian winters!
