Found the badlands with everything I wanted, had to go to Annapolis to get it about 270 miles away. Was even better looking in person. A 2021 with 14,723 miles and a few months of original warranty. About 30 miles into our drive home error codes binging and lighting up: Pre-collsion, blind spot, cross traffic, hill start assist, service vehicle soon. Called dealer they said tech must have not reset so just turn off for 5 minutes. Lights all went off, started coming back on than it got worse CEL, low power, non-responsive, running very rough. Got home and went to local Ford dealer next morning. Told them all the issues but soonest appointment was 25 days out, booked the appointment and drove to my non-affiliated auto repair shop. Reader spit out 25 codes. Mechanic said probably computer or maybe a moisture issue. He cleared codes so I could drive. Drive fine for about 10-20 miles than error codes start, CEL and rough running/idle and low power. Would clear on their own until I drove further again, than same problems. Dropped off on the 15th. Dealership acted surprised that there were so many error codes and are now waiting on an expert. I would appreciate any help or suggestions to get this resolved.

This, or the loose bolts in the fuse box gremlin is my guess
This is the first thing I thought of too. Willing to bet one of those bolts or a battery ground or something is loose

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Search the forum. You’ll find an owner PDI checklist with particular nuts and bolts to snug up.

This sounds very much like a bad connection within the fuse box/battery area. Or a computer as the tech stated!

Theres a bolt or two under the cover of the fuse box that not only holds it to the vehicle but serves as a ground.. a non-zero number of owners have had issues with that being loose and doing exactly what you've described. 5 second check to cross it off the list at least

Looks like some type of wiring concern, possible rodent damage. Lots of manual transmission specific codes set, but not all of these sensors are located in one area. Some are on the transmission some are near the pedal.

Thanks everyone. Just heard back from dealer. They think it is the gear shift sensor and that it might have caused problems with the 7 speed manual transmission. My dealer is sending to the local transmission shop they use. I’ll keep you posted.

Took four weeks but I finally got it back. I was told it took so long because they needed to drop the transmission. Turns out they didn’t need to drop the transmission they just needed to remove some built up dirt and clay from off roading so see that the gear selective sensor was disengaged. Happy it wasn’t serious, very unhappy it took so long. Along with all of the error codes the gear number in the display would sometimes disappear. Hopefully that we will help if this happens to anyone else.
