JDL, just wondering if you ever got your problem resolved?
Not yet, they won't give me a price until the vehicle arrives. They know I live 5 hours away. I'm not sure how Ford lets these types of negotiating tactics continue. I'll probably walk on my 2 year vehicle order.

JDL, just wondering if you ever got your problem resolved?
If I do walk, I can probably find a vehicle close in price to what they would be offering me now. I would much rather give my money to a dealership who is honest and cares about my business.

My dealership wouldn’t talk price until the car and the Ford invoice arrived.

In the end everything was ok

Take it one step at a time

I plan to file a complaint this week with the Federal Trade Commission and also with the agency in Alabama that licenses car dealerships. Additionally, I plan to write the chairman of the commerce committees in the U.S. House and Senate. I am not going to lay down and let them run over me. The dealership blames Ford and Ford blames the dealership as to why I am not getting price protection or a rebate. I don’t know who to believe but I know the promises made to the customers are not being kept. It is also a source of anger with me that had Stivers been honest with me when I first placed my order, I never would have ordered from them. I encourage you to also file complaints with any governmental agency that you can think of that might regulate the automobile industry. They should not be allowed to engage in false and deceptive practices.

Dealer ended up giving me most all of the price protection. I truly believe they did not understand the process. I did not do any further follow up.
