I'm happier and happier I'm waiting before buying with stuff like this popping up.

Yup, about a half dozen owners with one off issues.
None of the stuff is critical (well the poor guy with a seized engine after sand) but I'd much rather wait a bit until things get worked out. Or when my lease ends as I'll have no choice lol.

Here’s to hoping the aftermarket can correct this, I’m thinking Ford is probably more concerned with the MIC top at the moment and will have the dealers solution be a patch kit, like the ones my Mom would sow on the knees of my jeans in the 80’s
LOL, Toughskins had the patch built in. 😂😂

Yeah, this looks like crap. I was considering changing my order to a soft top to get it sooner. But after watching some soft top videos I decided to stick with the MIC. It justs looks so floppy. I see 4d wranglers driving around with soft tops and the tops look tight and snug. Windows are not wavy.
I've seen some wavy windows on wranglers. Even the back windows. Some have been tight and others wavy. I've also seen some saggy saddles on the Jeeps as well.

No, because they don't have a soft top. :)
I love how folks talk about Toyota like they are bullet proof. Like they don't have service departments, recall or other issues.

I think it would be awesome for ford to address all this stuff but my 2020 Wrangler soft top had the same wear issues on the soft top in the first 6 months.
I think you are full of it, becasue all of the Jeep guys are saying that their tops are perfect and don't have any issues. So someone is lying. 🤔😂🤣

Getting in the car today I noticed wear on the softop. It is bad enough that the driver side has rubbed through the top down to the rubber below

It appears as though the top is rubbing on itself, or something when it is all the way down. I say that because when I put it back it didn't appear to touch anything. It also appears on both sides, though the driver side has worn through and the passenger has not yet.

Will be reporting this to my dealer on Monday.

Looks like like an improperly stowed soft top to me.

Is it just me, or does the color look faded?

(I haven't read the whole thread, in case it is brought up later.)

Updated the first post with where I think the issue came from.
