So, what would you do?
We're looking at trading in our 2022 Base for a 2023 Big Bend...

We found a dealer who has one ready to take home this weekend. But they are asking $5000 over book.
$47,715. It's the color we want, Cactus, but it's bare stock.

We can order one for $45,500 with the 222A package and wait for it to come in. The Dual AC is a major plus...

If we wait, we will have a better one for $2200 less. Or take it home now and pay more. Who knows how long it will take to get in after ordering...

The good thing,,, we spent $36k for ours a year ago and the trade in is about $45k. After the payoff, we will have $22,500 down for the new one.

I got mine for sticker in SoCal in March. Maybe because it’s a 2-door or a manual transmission, but I’d have a hard time spending a premium on one.

I got super lucky and scored msrp on obx with mid package...flew up to san jose to pick her up.
The mid package is decent. Dials for the temp n fan speed are very solid. I really wanted that 360 camera on the high package and adaptive cruise on lux since kill ourselves in socal traffic on the 405! So far been decently happy with the mid package. One downwer is the speakers are TERRIBLE

If it does not have the options you want I suggest you pass. A bare BB is not that different from a base. If they are asking $5k over MSRP you can negotiate them down to $3k. I would pay that much ADM only if the MSRP is with early MY23 prices, ie MIC under $850, HD bumper under $500, etc

I'll know for sure Wednesday, but it looks like $45,300 when we paid $38k.
$45,300 is a lot for a trade-in number on a base in 2023. That sounds like they are using the 2022 blue book. LOL. I would not be surprised to see that number shrink dramatically once you sit down with the dealer.

Of course it will. They're not gonna sell him brand new BB for $47k and then give him $45k for a used base.

I would order EXACTLY what you want if you already have a Bronco. If I buy another, which I think is unlikely after this one runs it's course, I know exactly what I miss, what I wouldn't need for any reason, and what would make the bronco a better daily.

Order and get exactly what you want. Why would you pay more money for something that isn't exactly what you want? Unless you have crazy money, then buy the one on the lot and order what you want.
