Just spitballing some ideas. I would actually have to sit down and think this through.

This doesn't mean that the two different awd modules can't be used for the same vehicle.

It very much depends on the CAN messages to each AWD module. Also, it could be possible to use the Bronco AWD (or F-150) to control the transfer case from the Everest, but that would require you to figure out the controls somewhat with regards to the position sensors. You may only need some of the outputs from the t-case to achieve the desired operation with the Bronco AWD (or F-150) module.

Naturally, Ford won't provide the level of information needed to actually make this easy. The first order of business is to understand the inputs and the outputs of each of these transfer cases. I am not sure I fully understand everything looking at the schematics with my jetlagged brain.
The inputs from the BCM and Battery fuse box are identical, the outputs ( and wireing) to the T-case are completely different.
It will be easier to just use the F150 TCCM, The output wires are correct (w/F150 tranny harness) .

As long as I can swap the VIN to do configuration, it should be just fine.

Makes sense to me

Will the CAN bus traffic to the other modules line up, or are you going to need F150 ABS, BCM, etc…?

Naw, @Ducati1098 runs an F150 pcm on his bronco with ZERO issues
Well that is a good sign - it's on the same FD1 network as ABS and AWD modules, so... decent shot, so long as network/CAN address numbers for parameters match up. Decent odds anyway.

Okay so I got the Hummer H3 transfer case out and disassembled today. The input shaft on the 4:1 gears is definitely different than the heavy duty 10r80.

Which led me to do some research and lo and behold for those folks who want a 10R80 transmission, The Explorer 3.0 has a 10R80 with the rear transmission flange/ T-case bolt pattern is the exact same as the Bronco.!!!🤩🤩🤩

While this doesn't help my situation out exactly it does give Bronco owners in general an upgrade possibility for the transmission itself. Anybody with the 2.7 or the 3.0 could easily just bolt in a Explorer transmission from a 3.0 and it looks to me like it would 100% bolt right up to the transfer case that exists on the Bronco now. This could be helpful information in the future for some folks that have transmission problems or are doubtful that the 10R60 is up to the task. Or are running big HP numbers like @Ducati1098

I'm doing more research right now to see if the 10r60 output is smaller than the 10r80...
Edit they are the same ...31 spline.

This also confirms the 10r80 has two available transfer case patterns, the smaller bronco/ Explorer, and the bigger f150 pattern

Do you think there is possibility of getting the raptor pickup t-case to work with that transmission?

edit-raptor low range is even worse at 2.64:1

Hey @Ducati1098 or @flip - could either of you look up the part number for the bronco raptor tcase clutch? Curious if it’s different than normal advanced case based on this article

It is indeed different.

Additionally for reference, The Everest and F150 AND Bronco output splines on BOTH Tranny are 31 spl...H3 is 27 spline. So this H3 4:1 gearset is NOT "drop in", however a few parts could be customized to make it a feasible upgrade 🤔

here's pics of 4:1 gearset
