I think they were accusing the person of being a previous forum member who lives in Alabama, pretending to be a new forum member after they got banned or something. Don’t think it has to actually do with Alabama, that’s just where the previous forum member lived…

You couldn’t tell that they typed it with a condescending key stroke though? Maybe we Bama folks are just sensitive... 😉

Wow, the drama queens that jumped on this thing were amazing...one dealer makes an off hand comment with no verification whatsoever, and people lit the torches and were ready to head to Michigan....
when are we going to learn that dealers say all kinds of shit…

There has been no recall. Hell, there hasn't even been a TSB yet on any potential issues.

Most importantly, to my knowledge no units have been transported back to MAP from a dealership.
Have we told you lately that we love you?

Just to be clear, there are people from Alabama here. What's wrong with that?
There’s nothing wrong with Alabama! There’s just a couple crazies on here that think I’m someone else from Alabama. So that’s why they keep bashing the state. 🤣

But didn't you say there was an entire truckload, maybe more, Badlands (or Sas) suspension parts rejected? Couldn't the OP be talking about a vehicle that made it past inspection that was "rejected" while in transport?

Oh please! Go back to your swamp and watch your bamer foosball with your wife (sister), fly your confederate flag and shoot your shotgun into the air because you’re a red blooded Merican’ with 2nd amendment rights!

Whatever the reality of the OP's situation, it behooves everyone to realize that 'new platform' vehicles always have a high incidence of tsb's and recall notices. It's just the reality of the industry.
Consumer Reports:
"Though we understand the excitement about buying a brand-new car, early production problems or loose ends that weren’t found in the development process are all too common with all-new or heavily redesigned models, as evidenced by how often we’re forced to bring our test cars back to the dealer for TSBs, recalls, or repairs within the first few weeks or months we own them. These sometimes annoying—and other times serious—issues are exactly why CR has long recommended not trying to be one of the first to own an all-new or heavily redesigned model."

Every manufacturer goes through this. In fact, the list of vehicles with the highest recall rates is somewhat surprising:

Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Recall rate: 5.77
Compared to average: +7.3 times above average

GMC Sierra
Recall rate: 3.25
Compared to average: 4.1 times above average

BMW 3 / 4 Series
Recall rate: 2.95
Compared to average: 3.7 times above average

Dodge Durango
Recall rate: 2.71
Compared to average: 3.4 times above average

Nissan Pathfinder
Recall rate: 2.00
Compared to average: 2.5 times above average

Ram Pickup
Recall rate: 1.99
Compared to average: 2.5 times above average

Toyota 4Runner
Recall rate: 1.98
Compared to average: 2.5 times above average

Dodge Charger
Recall rate: 1.74
Compared to average: 2.2 times above average

Chrysler 300
Recall rate: 1.71
Compared to average: 2.2 times above average

Chevrolet Tahoe
Recall rate: 1.52
Compared to average: 1.9 times above average

Please note : nary a Ford (or a Jeep) in the top 10, but several (hello 4Runner) that are spoken of in hushed tones because of their reliability...

Speaking of factory screwups...
It concerned me at the time but now it's kind of funny that the VIN stickers on the passenger side of my Flex are for the wrong car. Somewhere out there is another Flex with my VIN on half the stickers.
