There was a thread on here a while back about the specific oil required in the 2.7. And it had a new grade on it as I recall.
2.7 uses DI and Port, so it does not require the new certification, from what I have read so far. The 2.3 being DI only should benefit form the new certification ILSAC GF-6 / API SP, although I am not sure if it is required.

FYI .. Mobile1 is NOT a full synthetic oil

I am running Amsoil Signature Series 5w30.

Why would one make a poll about synthetic oil and not include Amsoil?

I'll most likely stay with the Amsoil Signature Series full synthetic that I've been running in my Sti since it was new. I've had good luck with it and the Blackstone labs test results I've had done have shown no issues.

I'm just waiting to see if/when it receives the new certification.

What does ford recommend? I will use that for a while and then change it to what my tuner recommends if I modify it. I run Rotella T6 5w-40 on my modified STis.

Sorry apparently I've been misled by the label and description?

Also I did not include your preferred oil in the poll because I can't list all the oils. Does this poll or original post say that members may only comment if using full synthetic? Nope. Actually I tried to include an option in case anyone (such as your nasty self) thought that I could update the poll with an option many would like to select.

Thanks for your comment though.

Castrol Euro 0w-40, Mobil 1 Euro 0w-40 or Rotella T6. Both engines spec for 5w30 by I prefer a 40wt. I don't worry about warranty but for those who do research Castrol Magnatec you won't find better Ecoboost UOAs with Royal Purple, Amsoil or Mobil 5w30s....try and prove me wrong!!!

My dad works in specialty fuels and says Mobil 1 is the best, but also really likes Royal Purple... he sees a lot of behind the scenes stuff so I tend to trust him. And he's my dad. :ROFLMAO:

Also, in case anyone was wondering, Shell consistently has the best quality fuel. According to him they do the most with their additives and have stricter quality or purity standards or something. I honestly can't remember but I can follow up with him on specifics if anyone cares to know.

All of that aside, it's really hard to find "bad fuel" or "bad oil" in today's world. If you take care of your stuff and change your oil regularly your Bronco is going to last a long time.

google is your friend

"Mobil 1 is a blend of synthetic and dino oils. It was originally a pure synthetic, but Mobil successfully lobbied to continue using the 'synthetic' description while changing the formulation to a blend."

Synthetic oil is made from group IV or group V oils. Mobile1 is a group 3 oil.

this is a good summary >> https://recondoil.com/synthetic-oil-guide/

I can't find anything saying this online. Have a link to any proof?

Now I'll sit back and wait for the "Which oil filter is best?" thread to start!
From a knowledgeable dealer: the longevity of Ford engines depends on the use of Motorcraft brand oil filters. There’s a patent on the filter that ties into keeping the upper engine components oiled on startup
