Hard top fiasco - far and away. Although, there is a certain element to all of this where we need to give some concession. Their reservation style roll-out made it so we became involved during very early stages and watched how the sausage was made...through a pandemic...and supply chain issues...

If they sold the Bronco regular way, and we knew very little from the onset, besides the occasional news briefing circling what quarter the Bronco would start being delivered to dealers for sale, then it would be a VERY different experience for us. We would be a heck of a lot less stressed in that scenario, and would also need to pay ADM. But you could certainly make the argument that if Ford wants to do this reservation style roll out they need to be prepared for more PR involvement.
Amen. Ford brought some of this on themselves with year out reservations.

Absolutely. But do we know which company designed & spec'd the product?
Yep we have no way of knowing if Ford’s want of the grand open air experience with no cross beam made things difficult or if Webasto over promised and now is under delivering...

Priority orders. Just a straight-up poke in the eye to reservation holders without a good reason for it. It made everything that followed worse once it was apparent that Ford didn't care about reservation holders.

Pick up to 3.

For me, it's the dealers getting units to sell, however they got them, while many of you sit and watch and wonder what year you'll have one.
Ford has PR disasters on this board....they don't have a PR disaster...they have a vehicle launch in a time where the public accepts that all delays are due to COVID related supply chain issues, whether true or not....thus, no problem for Ford with this whatsoever. My bet is that this will be looked back on as an amazingly successful launch...and all of the issues will be forgotten....Ford will be sitting pretty on the other end of this one.

In a year no one is going to remember these "disasters."
I will, because I’ll still be driving with my crappy soft top next winter.

I don’t see anything Bronco-related to be PR disasters, given there’s been no recalls, no lawsuits, and no reduction in demand. What I see is the result of the me-first, say what you want, haters gonna hate social media world we live in.

This isn’t a PR “disaster” so to speak but selling the Bronco Sport well before the big Bronco was just a dumb move in my opinion. I mean I get that the Sport was easier to engineer/produce but typically you roll out the “halo” model first, in this case the big Bronco, then build the “sub-brand” around it.

No you are too young, the Ford Edsil! First Edsil were delivered leaking oil, hoods that did not open, and push buttons that could not be pushed. On a side not, I'm not that old but it did cost Ford 350 million in losses in the late 50's.
