2024 Bronco Safari @Moab permit denied; 30 days to appeal!

"As most know our intent to apply for a permit for Bronco Safari 2024 was denied by Grand County.
The permit process for Grand County is painful and drawn out because they deem our event “high impact”.
The county did cite several issues that were legit and happened in 2023. We addressed those issues in our intent to apply but they were ignored or overlooked.
The intent to apply is the first step in getting a permit, even if we won the appeal there was no guarantee they would grant the actual permit for our event.
After several discussions amongst the committee we decided to not spend thousands of UBC dollars to fight this.
Instead we will be donating $5000 to BRC to help fight the recent BLM Travel Plan, that will close hundreds of miles of trails to motorized recreation.
So what does this mean for Bronco Safari? It means we will not be having our event in Moab from April 30th to May 4th.
We are asking everyone if possible to release your reservations and not go to Moab during the Safari week. This is to prove the economic impact we bring to the city/county.
We will be having a Bronco Safari in 2024 at a new location in Utah roughly 7 weeks later that is fantastic and highly welcoming to us (NOT Sand Hollow).
We are finalizing the plans and permits for this and will announce it as soon as possible.

I wasn't going to make the Bronco safari, but was planning the 2024 jeep safari with my BIL.
I'll pass on that now as well...plenty of good wheeling here in Colorado.

Not sure where they will be running, but the High Uintah's are beautiful. Big mountains, forest lakes & rivers.

I've seen a bunch of people talking about Vernal area being amazing. I figured that's where they were headed if Sand Hallow wasn't the next choice. I might have to try to squeeze the trip back onto the calendar!
Some of these trails sound pretty fun. I don't think I can do both trips though.
