Well if that never sucked 😒. Looks like I need to plan a different trip during that week .

Thanks for the update @Hossamus Prime.

This is a good approach (y).
You’re always welcome to come down to Arkansas and hit up the Hot Springs Off-road park or some Ozark National Forest trails lol.

I can't see swinging another deep south trip for a 3rd consecutive year but those are on my list. Maybe in 25.

I want to see the new location UBC picked out before making a decision.

If it's the Eastern half of TN, I'd be more than happy to escort a ride through Uwharrie too. You seem like one of those guys who would be cool to meet and fun to ride with.
Uwharrie is fun and we get people from across the SE driving all the way to do it.
But to me it would not be worth driving from say, Memphis or Nashville to do.
You can do the whole place in about 3 hours.

I'm actually seriously considering taking 6 months to a year off work in 25 and going on a wheeling tour in a diesel pusher. I should make a disgusting profit off selling my house to make it possible.

With enough given notice, we can make it happen. McMinnville TN would need to be a destination for a couple days for me 🤠 .

Wow, if you can get away with it, that would be an adventure. You could even be another travel blogger

Everyone needs to abide by the UBC recommendation to avoid Moab the week that was originally scheduled for Bronco Safari. If we are 'High Impact', what is EJS? We as responsible off roaders can prove that our absence is an economic drain on the community. Take the recommendation of another location into consideration. Be respectful and see what that brings for the future of Bronco Safari.
This doesn’t sit well with me. UBC chose not to attend the permit hearing and defend the event, so the permit was denied.

UBC chooses to not reapply, and instead chooses to book a different event at a different location.

And now UBC is asking people to boycott Moab in retribution? Did the businesses that are now going to lose money know in advance that UBC was making all these choices? Seems like a lot of collateral damage and hard feelings over things way outside of the business’s control.

Not boycott Moab all together, but the week of the original event because there were a boat load people who booked. I just nuked my resv for that week and will see where things land with all the legal stuff that is going on or if their new location pans out. I am not driving out there to get hung up in too large of a group which then becomes an issue without permits. Plenty of other trips I can take. I am putting super cell west in sept on my list for 2025 as we want to go out west at least once a year.

After visiting last week for the first time, no one event will effect that place. Also it is better to find some place with better hotel rates and less people. Reminds me of the Oceano Dunes here locally. People have drastically shifted to Glamis and King of the Hammer vs trying to ride a postage stamp.

Apparently Nissan got blocked last year, so it is multiple events...but ya still plenty of tourism there. I more or less reached out to the airbnb owner, because it did say on their profile that they are Jeep enthusiasts, and they should know that they are at risk too! I'm starting to think I'm cursed...everywhere I wheel gets shut down!

Their event had been going about as long as the Bronco Safari too and was a fairly big deal. Just crappy all around.

Holding tight on my reservations for now until this shakes out some more.
