$500 Deposit on Ford.com

The entire thing is unbelievable. I am convinced no one at Ford from the top down has a clue as to what is going on. Hell, even the B&P page has mistakes in it. It is like no one bothered to go through the page and ensure there were no errors before posting. Example: Look up the description for the “ tube doors” . As of yesterday the description is about the soft vinyl top not the doors. And folks wonder why there is no confidence in Ford concerning this Bronco fiasco.

Either that or cut them off at production limits.

Ive read news articles FORD wants to implement an ordering system and reduce dealer stock from 90 days to 60 days.


Also, IIRC FORD was implementing higher deposits and purchase agreements to order

This is what it says right in the middle of the order process...

"By paying a Order Deposit, you are agreeing to the Dealer's selling price for your selected vehicle."

So yeah, the door is open for a stealership to nail you...

I'm wondering if this is somehow connected to what dealer the reservation is through, or what code your 2021 order was. I went and did my 2022 order on the 13th my 2021 order was code 19, and my 2022 order is also code 19. No additional deposits or anything. our dealer is pretty good, got a signed price for my 2022.

Question. Can I give my dealer a check instead of going online and dumping down a deposit? I already have the $100 deposit from 21. I think Ford should of done a higher deposit to start with on launch to weed out the people that are on the fence. I go in next week to submit my order again.

The price is set in writing and signed at time of order. Anyone who doesn't do that is open to ADM, but I think it is pretty well known to make that happen at time of order. Once a deposit is taken and price documented in writing, there is no recourse for ADM.

My dealer didn't ask for a deposit or my DL, I emailed a yesterday and asked if I need to come put a deposit down or not, he said nope. We are all good, just set back and hope it comes sooner than later.
