Thank you for sharing that video.Maybe this video will help one decide to go SAS or non SAS.
Note: Bronco in video is NON-SAS!
Exactly! That was a FANTASTIC video! What a machine!
The Badlands non SAS is the best vehicle in the entire Bronco lineup IMO
Awesome videoThank you for sharing that video.
That really opened my eyes to how capable the badlands is without the SAS.
I’m feeling ever more comfortable now with going with a Non-Sas badlands
With all the great info and advice (including yours) that I’ve received on this thread.Like you said one needs to consider ordering non-constrains to increase the chances of the Bronco being built anytime soon. If you are ok with MY24 it could be over a year before you drive it. Price protection is a thing of the past and Ford has a new found love for increasing pricing to offset dealer ADM.
Good luck on whatever you direction you go in. If you want to not go SAS it will increase your chances for getting a VIN.
I went with the non Sas auto 2.7I recommend Non-Sasquatch (they are all IFS and non-SAS)
Manual transmission is a wonderful option you shouldn't pass up if you like drivingmanualsat all.
Thank you.I did an off road event that was set up by Ford for Bronco order holders. This was a year or so before mine was built. This wasn't Off Rodeo, it was a shorter duration, but we still got to do some semi-serious wheeling. The Ford rep that was in the Bronco with me said he couldn't officially confirm nor deny (-cough, cough-) that the only difference in height between a BL 'squatch and BL non-'squatch was caused by the slightly taller tire on the 'squatch. When you do the math on the tires it checks out, too.
In the end, the extra money for just tires and flares didn't make sense to me. My BL non-'squatch has gone everywhere the group I wheel with has gone. It is still way more capable than my bravery level at this point. And - lots of folks here have put on 35's with non-'squatch BL's without clearance issues. I will likely do the same after the BFGs wear out.
@Dover - after our exchange of pics I figured it was this one that sold you. It's one of my favorites...
I Decided to go with the NON-SASSimple. If you plan on going with 35” or smaller tires, get non sas. Badlands are great in any model. If you are going to install 37” or bigger tires, get sas. Gearing is what’s important. I run big 37s (MT Baja legend MTZ) and heavier wheels and still average 17 miles per gallon.
Great choice! A Bronco in the hand is worth... at least 2 years of your life for a lot of folks. I hope you get yours soon and get to enjoying it. See the wonderful Moab thread about 33s making it through plenty of pucker places.I went with the non Sas auto 2.7
