B&P appears to be double charging for the auto when Squatch is added.
Previously, Squatch was $4995 + $795 for the adv auto 4x4 = $5790.
Now it's saying +$8980 when it should be: $4995 + $795 (adv auto 4x4) + $1595 (auto) = $7385.
So it's overcharging by $1595, whether the auto was already added (2.7/auto), or you add Squatch to a 2.3/manual.
In both cases it appears it's charging double for the auto.

End result is my B&P build is priced $3190 higher than before when is should be only $1595 higher.
Not exactly...I posted this a couple of times on other threads, but it's buried now:

Last night when they first changed the price on Basequatch, I logged in and checked my build. The site actually itemized everything as follows:

Original price on Sas = $4,995
+ Wheels and tires $2,390
+ Auto $1,595
= $8,980

The extra $2,390 was the for the wheels and tires - I'm not kidding. They've since removed that line item pricing from the pop-up when you select Sasquatch and just bumped the price up to $7,385 without explaining the increase.

They probably realized charging extra for them looked bad, especially since they've been advertising all along that Sas includes wheels, tires, front and rear lockers, lift, etc. so they just increased the price.

This was not a mistake as they claim, I think that's pretty obvious. As bad as they are at communication, they're not complete morons. A mistake like that would have been noticed months ago. It was a decision, and Ford will probably never tell us the details behind their reasoning, but ultimately, it's to hit a number on somebody's spreadsheet so somebody gets their bonus.

That's wild. Make those wheels/tires optional and I could probably go along with that since I'd rather throw some KO2's on the base wheels anyway. What's interesting is your total didn't include the $795 advanced transfer case that was presumably being added in invisibly before the update.

Levine confirmed (for what that's worth!) they are the same wheels as the Ranger, which would be 16x7.

Fixed...Halfway anyway.

Figured the free auto with Squatch was a glitch...this is better than 9K...still makes Base Base look good

Base/Basesquatch
I'm still unclear on Mr. Levine's tweet ... he's says SAS package should be $ 7,385 - does this include the A10 which would make sense since that's the only option currently available with the SAS. Or does he mean it's $ 7,385 for the SAS plus $ 1,595 for the A10 so a total of $ 8,980 which is what the B & P currently shows?

It does not include the auto - that's extra - so the total cost for adding Sasquatch is $8,980. They had this itemized in an earlier version of the B&P two nights ago and quickly took it down. Wish I had grabbed a screenshot.

Is your avatar really Gasherbrum? I or II?

Let’s hope that is not the case. I tend to believe the $8980 still includes a double-charge for the automatic transmission. As much as I hate to hear from Levine again, someone needs to pin him down for a further clarification.

4 Door Base is still showing $4995 for the package. In the summary it's still showing $5780 or whatever the 4A added. However, the base price of the 4 Door Base is up $1595 (the price of the Automatic).

I did notice that Sasquatch was showing $8980 for trims other than 4 Door Base, so I'm guessing there will still be some more adjustments!!

That's a big hit price wise, would make me reconsider things.

One of my favorite mountains by appearance is Gasherbrum IV, but I've never climbed in the Himalaya, just the West Coast ranges and South America. Maybe I forgo a new Bronco next year and take a big trip instead ...

It is sad for me to say this. I have been following the Bronco release for a long time.

Bottom line for me. This vehicle is starting to get too expensive. The pricing has pushed me up into another category of vehicles.

At this price and my intended use, other vehicles give much more.

Everyone is probably going to move up a spot in the line. I have a day two reservation.

My thoughts exactly: Bronco or Vinson?

Or take another shot at Chimborazo...and a bunch of other peaks in SA and MX.

Well at least one thing is certain amidst all the pricing confusion on this thread ... you can't drive even a well equipped Bronco to Mt Vinson!

Need some "Stig" level inside info, or some solid logical speculation on this one.....

If you pull the carpet out of a Base model after taking delivery, and install some high-quality waterproof seat covers, what other technical modifications would be needed to make the interior as weather resistant as the Black Diamond?
