That is actually reasonable. Im seeing some people post that they are getting 11 and that is nuts
Just be cautious they aren't talking 11 L/100 km vs. 11 MPG... two very different things lol

I had the 4 dr 2.3l badlands for a daily for 7 months, now a 2.7l 4dr badlands... I'm seeing barely a mpg or 2 differnce between them. The 2.3 being a bit better. But I drive the 2.7 at higher speeds and it's just getting broken in... So expect the difference to actually be fairly mute. 🙃

Do you feel the difference while driving? Does one engine outshine the other?

I've been daily driving my Badlands 2.7l 4 door for about 3 weeks now and so far I've been averaged about 17.5 mpg. My drive is typically half highway and half city. On the drive home from the dealer that was all highway, I was able to get up to roughly 19-20 mpg

Badland 2.7 non sas i get around 17MPG combined, on the highway i can get around 19-20.
Same trim. My dash says 17 but Fuelly tracking has me under 16 combined, up to 18 on only the highway

Hey Everyone, I wanted to get some opinions from those of you that have your broncos and are daily driving them. I have a 4 door OBX 2.7 non squatch on order and have been wondering if I made the right engine choice. It will be driving city and hwy miles pretty evenly split. My husband wants the 2.7 (and im always game for the bigger engine with more power) but how bad will my MPG be compared to the 2.3? Is there a big enough difference for me to even be putting thought into this? Does driving the 2.7 vs the 2.3 justify the lesser MPG in smiles?? Lol I know this isnt a vehicle for good fuel economy, but given we have the choice, I feel its worth asking.
I have a 2.7 BadSas and I'm averaging 15.6 miles per gallon. I do a good mix of highway and city driving. I currently have 3084 miles on it.

10,000 miles in on a nearly steady diet of 93 octane and this includes almost half of those miles on highway at 75-85 mph and/or hilly/windy and have a lifetime average of 17.8 mpg

OBX, 4 door 2.7 advanced, Lux. A non advanced should do better due to slightly different gearing.

I do better on daily commute when under the speed limit.

At sea level on dry pavement at a steady 100km/hrs (62 mph) in eco mode, 2A and watch the turbo boost and vacuum gauges and 20 mpg should be easy

We drove a 2.3 4dr as a demo unit. The 2.3 surprised me with how it performed in a 4 dr. That said we finally got our 4 dr OBX with the 2.7 4 weeks ago. ( 1'st day reservation holder ) There is a big power difference between the 2 engines. We love the 2.7. Just shy of 1000 miles so far and averaging 19 MPG. Now that is with 89 or better fuel and not hammering on it from a stop. But it includes city, highway and interstate driving. The 2.7 shifts less and has more grunt when you want it. We actually hit over 20 on the 2'nd tank of fuel with 91 premium.

Doesn't sound like 1-2 mpg gain going to 91 is worth the additiohnal $0.50 / gallon price.

The 2.7 and 2.3 get essentially the same mpg.

Some trims (not OBX) get BETTER mpg with the 2.7
2.3 will be better but as others have said: tires, trim and driving style will have a larger effect than engine.

My 2.7 4dr non-sas BB daily driver is getting 17MPG, but its mainly because traffic on Long Island NY sucks big-time.
I'm just looking forward to sitting in traffic with the top off in a few months and the warmer weekends.

My 4 door 2.7 Outerbanks (non Sasquatch) is almost consistently averaging 18.8 MPG (city). I do a lot of stop & go. I run 93 In it as well. It only has 700 miles and I hear this can creep up as the system is intuitive and learns driving habits… buttt I have also been conservative on the throttle as well as the engine breaks in.

If I had long commutes Im not sure i‘d want to daily it just because gas prices are so high right now and it is not very efficient.. but I don’t have to drive far so it’s not that bad for me, but it is costing me 70$ to fill up at 1/4 tank. I know it can run 87 safely but I’d rather not.

Overall if you are concerned about MPGs it’s not a great choice in vehicle regardless.

We did'nt think so either, but you can tell the performance difference from 87 to 91. I run 88 in my 19 f150 3.5 unless we are towing. Then run 91. Makes a big difference towing 9000# wheel house. Main reason we went with the 2.7 on our original order is we plan on towing our boat with the Bronco when we camp.
