If you have a WBDO / DORA with your agreed build, and someone modified it without your consent, get Ford Corp involved (specifically, publicly tweet at what’s-his-face).

I’ve seen Big Daddy Ford work quick to correct such blatant and outrageous problems.
Correct, your dealer may have accidently done you a favor and moved you to the front of the line. Just gather all your supporting docs together, press the issue with your dealer and their rep should be able to step in and get things corrected.

my dealer added the HD bumper to my Black Diamond order. My sales guy said he made the change a few hours before I got my “scheduled for production “ email so fingers crossed that doesn’t drew anything up. 🤞🏼

I feel for ya. Personally I would order a new one with a different reputable dealer now, buy the 4door, immediately flip it, and put that $ down on the new order.

Pick it up, sell for 10k profit and go back to waiting for a two door. That or suck it up and enjoy the extra space.

Wouldn't it be sweet if you could buy that 4door and the 2door price. Worth a shot maybe

So salesman called me earlier this morning, and seemed as freaked out as I was that it changed to 4 door. I decided not to be a jerk and let him talk. He had me send him the Dora again and he’s allegedly going to contact his rep at Dearborn and seemed apologetic about it happeneing etc etc. I just told him to let me know what happens so I guess we’ll see if it gets fixed or an eruption green 4 door shows up on their site

I'd still stay right on top of it, time is not your friend. Call, email, tweet everyone you can think of. I'd be beyond pissed, we've waited to long, and if your like me you have no use for a 4 door. Sure you could flip it or keep it until a proper one is built on a new order, but what in the mean time? If, like me, you plan to make your Bronco yours with mods to fit your use do you really want to wait to get the right one?

This was my greatest fear. Sure I got a DORA that was right, but what if the dealer submitted a different one without my knowledge? When my VIN showed up, proper, I was relieved,. Don't settle.

Update after messaging Ford on Facebook messenger they took all my info including images of my Dora and the vin/confirmation. Now I have to call the bronco specialist hotline Monday morning. I just hope they answer and can actually fix this shit 🤦🏻‍♂️

Now I’m gonna sound like an asshole but if they fix it will they just revert it to what the order was originally or can I make some other changes to it like add the modular bumper ? Beggars can’t be choosers but figured I’d ask 🤷🏻‍♂️

Here in Crook County (Chicagoland) I'd be looking at $3700 in taxes on a new $45k Bronco. Maybe also various title fees to get it from the dealer lot. Then I'd have to go through the process of selling it.

Personally, I'm big on factoring things like aggravation and extra work and time spent and risk, into any deal - in terms of what I consider the true cost of an item. So what I'm saying is, having to buy and sell a 4-door and then wait who knows how long for a 2-door, for me would significantly reduce the slickness of a purchase.

I'm just glad with Bronco taking so long, I took the money I would have spent on a Bronco, and put it into stocks including Ford. That turned out a very low effort deal for what I've gotten out of it. :)

dealers are shady MOFo's! that is probably not your build, but an additional one they put under your name. Long story short I received 2 notices last week from Ford confirming my order .. one build was mine that I place, another one that was completely different - I contacted the dealer asap and he sent over the build ssheet so I could see what he had ordered. im not too concerned about the second build, just as long as i get my 2 door badsquatch!

I’ve been a day 1 reservation and have been dead set on a 2 door since before it was even announced. Come home at 1am after having my phone on airplane mode while at a concert….. I check my emails and notice a scheduled for production email and open it up…. Everything is right EXCEPT ITS A FUCKING 4 DOOR….. I specifically requested a 2 door both times I’ve submitted and now I think I’m fucked….. I have no idea what to do, from what I remember once a vin is made I can’t change it….. I’m 😡 pissed
Go, intimidate, beat them with your mane if you must. 4 doors must not stand.

Hey neighbor! St. Corrupt County here (St. Clair County/southern Illinois). We’ll have to maybe meet up sometime if Ford ever figures out how to build these things.

Sooo update.... waited on hold for 35+ minutes for the bronco swami... only for them to tell me I can only have it changed thru the dealer..... after being told by literally everyone I'd spoken to in customer service previously that I needed to call the bronco hotline.....
I reached out to my dealer to which he provided a supposed screenshot from a conversation with his rep with him asking them to change the 4 door to a 2 door, and them responding with "we'll see what we can do" like WOW..... straight up from the actual Ford Rep non chalantly, like I haven't waited almost 2 years..... Sure Ford Rep, its ok if I don't get what I want, I'll just take it because brand loyalty and all that nonsense..... what a joke this has been.... I"m gonna end up looking like the kid from a christmas story when he has to wear his bunny pajamas....
