For non powered subs, what amp are you using?

Most people here rave about kicker 200.4, but that won't work for the sub. Recently ordered one of those stinger boxes, but I'm still lost on what to power it with

Do you have a separate amp for the speakers? What made you decide on that vs a 5 channel amp for everything?

JL Audio 12T3-D8 powered by Powerbass XL-2305MX which is installed in the storage area under the rear mat. This amp is IPX67 rated.

I am using a Kenwood https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KACM3K4/Kenwood-KAC-M3004.html to power and 8" Polk slim sub and the 6" and 4" front speakers in parallel. Even running the amp in it highest power configuration, it has remained cool and trouble free. I also picked it because (product description from Kenwood)- The amp features a conformal coating on the circuit board to protect it from moisture. This allows you to use the amp for motorcycles, marine applications, or on All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). The KAC-M3004 delivers 50 watts RMS x 4 channels at 4 ohms. It also gives you 75 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms, or 150 watts RMS x 2 channels at 4 ohms bridged.

It wont survive a dunking, but it is mounted underneath the front passenger seat and will likely get an occasional drip of water or two.

JL Audio 600/1v2 and JL Audio HO112-W6v3 sub. Depending on how much bass you want. Hits very hard with top on. Sounds really good with top off but lose some of the SPL due to sound wave dispersion.

I have the kicker key 200.4 in the dash for all the other speakers which were upgraded.

Yes. He made me one harness that runs from the front all the way to the back.

Edit: I got kit 11-2 200.4 with harness, and also provided speakers. Called him to confirm/add to my invoice the 17 foot harness with load resistor for the 500.1 for an additional $45.
