So it’s constantly measuring the octane level in the tank and adjusting accordingly, even if you have a blend of octane levels in there? The computer that controls the engine will detect the lower grade of gas and de-tune the engine in order to avoid any knocking.
Of course I knew, you’re more dramatic than a 12 year old teenage girl.It was an eccentric characterization of what you have said in the past, actually.
And you know that's where I was going with it! HA HA HA!!!!
well, I'd be going up to Tahoe area, so lots of uphill, the extra hp and torque might come in handy since the rig will be full with 4 people and gear and a dog. Just a guess, never had a car that has different power output depending on the gas, my 19 year old Taco doesn't seem to care one way or an other. Why use premium on a road trip? You're just going to be steady state cruising 90% of the time, unless you do things differently than most...
This every time. I will only put Top Tier gas in my Bronco (regardless of octane level). Make sure you look for the logo on the pump.Whatever you get, make sure it’s Top Tier gasoline brand.
the premium octane gas from top tier gasoline brands has the most cleaning detergents.
For example, Shell puts in 7 times more than required so, you may not need the higher octane but, the detergent would be worth it if you plan on keeping your Bronco as long as possible.
