How many miles before your 1st windshield chip/crack

Today, 1370 miles on the odometer, big ding center, lower windshield. Shortly after getting home it cracked halfway up windshield. Rock flung up by big truck in oncoming lane... Sucks...

I'm wondering if the nearly vertical windshield on the bronco contributes to the many cracked windshields that appear to be happening.

10000 miles and 7 kit repairs.

To be fair I'm pretty sure 2 of them would have chipped my Subaru windshield, and 2 came off the same flatbed truck 2 lanes over when a side gust hurled a pile of gravel at us.

Got my first very small ding at 14k. Of all the places I've driven, and all the off road trips in gravel I've gone... Got it doing 40 mph on a city street following a Suburu taking my kid to school

But even then it is not deep enough to even fix.

I got on chip after 15,000, funnily enough it was on the highway while on the way to an off-road park in my area.

I think I win this category with a quarter size rock chip 91 miles on the Bronco. Day one of ownership WTH

Was cracked before I picked it up haha. Tiny tiny hairline crack, girlfriend pointed it out at the dealer and I told her its probably a spider web strand since I never seen one that fine before. Now I realize its in the glass. hasn't grown yet but who knows what will happen once it gets cold.

10,500 miles.

1 1/2 years, 6500 miles. Very first long trip in the Bronco and our first off road adventure. On the highway rock came out of no where and hit the windshield very hard- near the windshield wiper, passenger side. Cracked it. About the size of a dime, did not spread. Safelite came out and "repaired", "filled" it. Still see it, oh well......

Almost 40,000 miles and still no cracks or chips, and it's taken some pretty nasty hits too. Not sure why mine has held up well when others seem to shatter so easily.
