You are welcome! We expect a full report on roof fitment, engine torque, stereo quality, ride comfort, and the number of people who ask you if it comes in green. ; )

#2022rules
none of these will change except the green thing, but green and carb gray mic top will be AIDs.

I know they won't change, but we need reports on what they are like in the first place!

I gotta narrow in on my proper build for 2022. (y)

Having had a Bronco and huge Ford fan in general, this was hard for me to land on... but there are just too many "loose ends" (some simple, some I just don't accept paying 59K for my build). I doubt any of this will change by March B&P, so for me personally, it's either wait another 1.5 years to get a MY22 or start having fun now.

My Issues:
  • Forced to lux to get basic features (e.g. garage door opener, wireless charging).
  • Not a big deal but they somehow lump the heated steering wheel in the lux but no cold weather package? Once you've experienced a heated steering wheel, you don't know what you are missing. :)
  • Front camera blocked by winch. Yes this could be figured out with aftermarket, I'm saddened this was overlooked.
  • 4 Door/2.7/SAS = can't get a roof rack. Seriously? and the elusive "addressed in MY22"
  • 4 Door GVWR - if this is what we think it is, and I think it is, this is an absolute showstopper. If I wanted a 2 door, I would probably be on the bleeding edge of staying with MY21.
  • Have to spend 2k to get power seats
  • Ridiculous interiors on some trims, I'm sure it's not as bad in person, but... ya
  • MIC MY21, wanting shadow black pushes me to MY22 anyway
There is probably a handful of more little things but those are the bigger ones.

New plans?
I'm sure MY21 works for most, but for me personally, will have to sadly bail on MY21. Who knows, maybe in a few years and a bolstered aftermarket I'll end up with a base Bronco and create something unique with aftermarket suspension, bumpers, etc. and I'm sure all of my concerns above will be addressed by then.

To Ford: You designed one heck of a vehicle, and I know it's not easy working with various suppliers and handling production with Covid, you should be proud of where you are starting -- just got a bit more work to do. Launching a brand new vehicle is no small task, hats off to where you are starting this new platform.
My forester has a heated steering wheel, but it’s only warm at 9 and 3, so when you turn and the wheel slips through your fingers it’s warm and then freezing still.

is that normal? Or do other brands heat the entire thing?

Long time lurker, just decided to register to make this post. I figured maybe someone at Ford or other forum members could appreciate my opinion on everything that I have watched go on with the new Bronco fiasco. My reservation 10329552 placed July 23/2020

My first major gripe is the interior. The white interior shown in the promotion videos was absolutely amazing, the leather was also nice. The interior those two in the video decided was a great idea is horrendous. I can live with it if it was the only issue but sadly it is not.

Colors, I was ordering a Base model and wanted Cactus. Of course Ford decided to pull the Old trick where you only get the nice colors by upgrading to a higher trim package, usually with options you don't want or need but costs you another 3-5K. So I would be stuck with black as the other colors are not appealing to me. Black car living in Arizona is not fun.

Build and price, i think everyone on this forum knows already what I am talking about. Jacking up the price on the auto v6 was a nice kick in the pants. Nice job screwing that up too ford.

The last straw was dealing with Galpin Ford in Prescott Az. I wanted to keep my money local and support a fellow business. I had asked when making my reservation with them regarding pricing etc. They just wanted my reservation info and get me out of the dealership asap and said they would get back to me. Made several other attempts to make calls and reach the "bronco specialist" with no return calls. I get a call last week about making my reservation into an order. I asked once again what pricing they will be offering. No X plan, no deals, straight MSRP. I said to the saleswomen that several other dealers are offering better deals to orders and all of my previous inquiries went unanswered, probably intentionally. She said she has not heard of anyone offering anything but MSRP...i rolled my eyes and asked her if she has ever looked on this forum. She said she never has. So much for being a "specialist"

I hope the Bronco does well and they continue making improvements over the years. I may end up with one eventually. I just cant imagine how poorly the Bronco was rolled out and made it for someone to hand them 30-50K for a vehicle.

Cancelled my 7/15 rezo. While asking for a $1k non refundable deposit, my dealer said 2 doors are some time in 2022. So he wants a nonrefundable deposit on a product that we aren’t certain about options on and with no delivery date. Hell no. Top that off with bad option packs, jacked prices, ugly 2 tone seats below badlands, and some poor communication and we’re pretty far over the line. Ford is likely to fix all of this at some point, but sounds like they have their hands full dealing with hardtop issues right now. When it gets fixed, I’ll prolly get one.

The reason for ordering a base was due to the white interior not being available. The interior they are putting into the production vehicles is no where near the quality i would expect on something that is going to cost 40-50k

Just got some news about a possible relocation. Need to consolidate finances for best success in a new place. Cancelled my 7/16 reservation. Still holding onto my 7/14 reservation though. Decisions decisions...

You could have delayed your order to the fall without putting the xtra cash down.

Every cancellation moves my reservation 72-96 seconds up the line, keep them coming, it's going to take a minute 🤣.

JK I'm day one, I don't care. My 2nd 7/15 reservation will eventually be cancelled for those counting down the seconds to delivery.

My first res is cancelled, got it in a couple hours after reservations opened on 7/13, although it showed 7/14. Received an offer of Invoice + 750 from my dealer. Seemed OK, maybe a bit less than MSRP, but when I looked at the detail, they used the MSRP of the BD with the advanced 4x4, which includes 795 that could be added separately. So, it was really MSRP + 45 from what I requested a quote. Could have been a mistake, or thinking that i would want the advanced 4x4. Just not ready to pull the trigger on a 41k vehicle at MSRP.

I like the dealer, so will give them the benefit of the doubt for my next F150, but converting without ever seeing the vehicle, the potential for games, and just the general unknowns concerning the vehicle, which will be a 4th in my garage, doesn't hurt to wait.

I know I could have transferred to Granger to get invoice -1k, but no time for the hassle really, when I can wait and get invoice - 2k.

I'll be converting my second res of a base with switches and floor mats and build up as I like. Oct. res with Granger. So, seems like a win, will get a bronco later, but still pretty early. I'm getting the manual trans, which I haven't had since the 90s and I can still add larger tires and different wheels as the aftermarket heats up. no prob. being a 22 model either.

Really liked the MGV, steel wheels, bumpers, locking rear diff. and I had the mid package quoted with the Auto, but if the base order is about 14k less with Granger, seems like a lot to save for the clean sheet of the base. I think mild lifts will be available later this year as well, so will give me some projects to do to build up as I want.

So I placed my order late 2020 in November. I was going to place my order sooner but I hated the color and to be honest I thought the trim levels were kinda weak for the price. After looking around I’ve decided I’ll be canceling my order. Basically any trim level I get either the wildtrak or badlands will be obsolete by at least 2022. Ford seems to do this a lot. Announcing a warthog for me isn’t a good idea. Their is absolutely no reason for ford to not release a warthog now or just wait till the next gen for the warthog. Yea I said it. People love Jeep’s and Toyota’s because they hold value and how much value would an ugly ass interior wildtrak hold if the warthog comes out a few months after receiving your wildtrak. The bronco also doesn’t fit into a good area in the ford lineup. For $60000 I could just buy a raptor either used or the base 2021-2022 version which is faster and has a truck bed over the bronco. The bronco is also kinda small for an off-road suv. The 4Runner and gx460 are both bigger. Yes the bronco is faster than most of the off-road suv options but 310ho over 270hp isn’t that big of a deal. Both are kinda slow at that range. Lastly the bronco is kinda ugly. Yea I said it. The Toyota 4Runner which was designed 10 years ago looks better especially if it’s modified. The army green and lunar rock are both fire while most bronco owners can’t decide on which color to choose. Area 51 is nice but it’s not fire like army green. Fords color options look like they belong on an Easter egg. No earth tones you would expect on an off-road vehicle. I’ve had the bronco ford builder tool on my phone for months and the more I looked at it the uglier it became. The soft top on the bronco looks awful. I’m not sure why so many people are loving it. I’ll wait until tomorrow’s ford raptor announcement to make my final decision. The only reason I’m still thinking about a bronco is because of modularity. I love the fact that I don’t have to cut my bumper to add a winch and I can just add 35 inch tires without cutting the fender liners. Why order a bronco now when in 2022 you’ll find a bunch of litely used Broncos?

I wish you luck on finding a vehicle that fits your needs better. I don’t think there will be any Broncos for more than a few grand under invoice until late 2024, when leases are up. I think there is currently only around 50 used Defenders for sale in the entire US. People aren’t prone to dump 50k vehicles they waited months or years to get on a whim.

I never imagined that I would be posting in this section and I will truly miss reading the daily Bronco posts. Everyone that reserved after 7/22 moved up a spot. I am going into a new direction and getting a 2021 Supra.
