The gain setting was turned all the way counterclockwise (which is what I guess is zero) when it was at the 10-4 position. I thought I would redo the entire process tomorrow and see if that changes anything. Everything was flattened out but I don’t think I had turned off the speed compensated volume - I’ll make sure that is done when I redo everything. Thanks for the input.
I saw something today; I was using navigation for the first time since installing the stereo set-up, the voice was pretty loud. I waited until it started to "speak" again and turned the volume down. On the display it said "Prompt Volume." I was able to adjust the Nav voice to 6 permanently, and the music volume independently. I have the 12" screen high package, no B&O. This tells me you should be able to adjust your tones and prompts...just gotta find the right setting or force it by using navigation and waiting for the right moment.

Just installed the Kicker Key 200.4. Earlier today I installed Kicker CS series 4" in the dash (w/ bass blockers) and 6.75" kickers in the kick panel.

I'm kind of pissed off. Part of me wishes I hadn't installed the amp. I didn't realize HOW BAD the stock system sounded before - so even with the soft top down, I'd never have the volume past 16 or so (interstate speeds). Now it sounds so damn good I find myself jacking the volume up. Good problem to have I guess.

I only have the front channel gain bumped up a slight bit from base and the rear channel a bit higher than that. I might bump the front channel gain a bit more.

Don't get me wrong, replacing the OEM speakers was a definite improvement, but at higher volume the stock head unit just gives up the ghost.

I mounted it to the metal plate below the steering column with HD zip ties. It blocks lowering the steering wheel anymore, but no one drives the Bronco but my wife and I , and if you lowered the wheel from where we normally have it - you can't see the gauges.

The Plug n play harness is very well made and super easy to install and looks OEM.

Overall, this upgrade was definitely worth the effort and $. The speaker replacements were ridiculously easy. But now I've opened the floodgates. It sounds so good, I'm already looking at adding a powered hideaway sub.

Dammit.

So I installed the following:
4 Memphis PRX4 30W RMS
2 Menphis Mojo pro MJP6. 6.5
Kicker key 200.4
PNP 11.4
and the outcome. NO BUENO

4” spekers sound ok. They do what they supposed to. Highs and no bass
6.5s. Sound horrible. No bass , Factory speakers sounded twice better.
Im also clipping around volume 15.
What em I doing wrong ???
Dip switches are as per direction
Checked polarity .
Radio detect is on.
I need help here. I can only say maybe the speakers suck….

Yours sound better than the stock 6.5s ?
I am trying to see where is the issue. Did you get the speaker hardness from Crutchfiled ? Metra 72-5602
I had to cut them since there is no connectors on the sub. So I plugged black on black and white on red.

Yes way better. Nice clean bass. Ya I used the adapter from crutchfield. Been a while since I’ve hooked them up but I think you have them right.

I would have to re-do the DSP settings. So weird :/ … thank you for replying. 🙌

I also have MJP6s in for kicks and they sound great. Obvs. less range than the stock ones (wich really also sounded pretty good), but good low range sound.

I have B&O and this is without aftermarket amplification.

Did you run the DSP Setup with the mic and the gain TURNED ALL THE WAY DOWN?
Did you turn the treble / mid / bass on the factory stereo control all the way OFF?
Did you turn off speed compensated volume?
Did you set the volume to 'all occupants'?

Kicker EQ on?
Compression on?
Crossovers off.
Bi amp disabled?
DC power not 12v?

This seems to be split here.

My Polk DB 4s in the dash clip at around 20, but its also offensively loud at that point and well within my expectations of when they should start to clip.

Ford Bronco Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first! IMG_4763

used @BuiltRight Industries to mount the sub today. works good, will rattle if you really push it hard but that was expected. i don't really shake houses or anything so a non-issue for me.

mounting didn't align perfectly with the hs10 holes, and i could only get three mount points because the rear seat position and fuck space, i have a 2d. the molle is great, scratches with metal on metal, but i don't care. the sooner i can wear this beast in the better i feel about not worrying about beating on it.

There’s gotta be someone out there who can fab up a custom mounting plate specifically for the Kicker subs that bolts directly to the side panels.

I found these guys but Im not sure I want to get rid of that compartment that you can place small items etc.
I also Think that for what it cost you can have aN audio shop make a custom plate. I can make it but I don't have a table router.
